Anything random today.
How ya feeling? How's the babe? Your SO? The weather? Whatever you want!
Right now I'm listening to V happily play with her toys and babble/happy scream to herself. She's finally feeling better but mom over hear is not feeling to hott.
Work today and have a ton of errands so boooo! But overall pretty good day if I say so myself.

Morning yall! I disappeared real quick from that drinking thread last night cause LO started waking up every minute as per usual, so as soon as that stopped for more than 10 minutes I decided to try for a little sleep. But then we managed some majorly overdue ST.. which was super necessary. So I'm less than coherent this morning because baby still kept waking up all night long, but whatevs. Coffee's on.
We're moving today! Well, we're starting today, our landlord is giving us the weekend. The neighbor moved out of the 3 bedroom next door, and we've been in a tiny 2 bedroom (we only just got here this May out of our 1 bedroom) so they offered us first dibs and we jumped on it. So excited! Moving on up. It really is not practical for baby and SOs 11 year old to share a bedroom, even if its only part time. This situation will be MUCH MUCH better!
Morning all! Pretty good night over here. Not much going on today just cleaning house so it doesn't look like we're complete slobs when everyone comes for brunch tomorrow. It's still super warm which is great, except that means it's also super icy.
Oh and it was my weigh in day I lost 0.1kg in a week....womp womp this sucks.
Had a pretty good night lastnight. DS only got up once in the middle of the night!
I woke up with a mild sore throat too, wonder what's going around. Eating some oatmeal and drinking coffee.
I have to call an immunologist for DS today to see if he has some immune system problems since he keeps getting sick. That should be a fun day of testing with a 3 year old.
Is everyone's weather changing? Like, we had snow last weekend and super cold temps, then it was mild, then it was cold, then the next three days it will be in the 50s. It's usually when I'm most succeptible to sickness. The lack of sleep doesn't help!
H got DS to the hospital last night and we now have him on a daily steroid inhaler until he's at least 5, and continuing doing ventalin regularily when he's sick. The doctor also found an ear infection which he's assuming triggered all this again so now we can treat that too and get DS back to feeling better. Not that the kid slows down when he's sick, ha. But I'm glad we can make him better now and hopefully now we can make him stronger for the future.
I had severe asthma as a child, which just some minor lasting effects now. I'm from a farm, and my parents had a routine with the nearest small town ambulance to call them, meet them at an intersection, ambulance rush me to the city. My dad always tells me how the worst time I nearly died on the way to the ambulance and the doctor saved my life on the way to the city but he was following behind the ambulance and had no idea I was ok, and he cried the whole way in.
DS was born premature, and was as healthy as he could be at birth, and with my history, seems to affect him when he gets even a regular cold and this is the third time we've taken him in to ER. But thankfully, the first time he wasn't immediately ripped out of our arms and hooked up to oxygen!
Sorry for the long post, just have had lots of feelings since last night and wanted to explain why I spiral out so bad in my head when he gets sick now.
Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts last night and mbjune13 and Bluedaisy for the check in
It's Friday!! I hope everyone has a good one and good weekend plans!

@babybean9 So exciting about the house! I understand the loss of losing your privacy and space (not having neighbors) but wanted to throw out there that neighbors can be awesome. If you end up clicking with them you can have close childcare, friends for last minute hangouts, someone friendly to brighten your day when you go to your car..

Meh, I actually love moving. I can't help with heavy furniture right now cause back injury. But really we don't have a lot of crap to move, and this one is particularly easy cause we don't even have to pack. Its literally across the driveway, so I'm taking clothes out my closet and walking them over and hanging them in the other closet lol!

Couldn't fall back to sleep last night after our MOTN wake nursing and found out via FB my family dog Diamond passed away She was 17 and had a wonderful life. I'm really sad for my 9 year old sister.
I have to go to a GI appt today, not looking forward to that. Then I have to pack for our trip!
I was going to add, I was scrolling through yesterday's randoms and realized I somehow missed jessila's post-still thinking of you! And missed the reason why the 'my kid is not' thread was started and just wanted to virtual high fives all the great moms and babies on this board! Keep rocking it!
Morning ladies. tiffbot glad to hear your son is doing better. @babybean9 what carolyngrace said. DH and I never imagined we would move to a subdivision (granted its a country one so we still have some land). I love the fact that there will be kids close enough for C to play with. We haven't met any of our neighbors yet (moving in the winter sucks for that reason) but I can already tell they are the nicest people. Twice someone has plowed out our driveway for us.
C was up at 1:30 and again at 4, then up for the day at 6:30. I stupidly stayed up late reading. Drinking lots of coffee today. No big plans. Have to go into work sometime for a few hours but we probably won't head in until this afternoon.
Trying to get as much done as possible while my students are testing today. DNW to stay late on a Friday. Probably not off to a good start if I'm on here during my conference period...

Uggghh @kej0004, homesickness hits HARD at carnival time! Are you in New Orleans proper or metro or where yat? Dear god I don't feel right in my soul when I'm gone.
tiffbot I'm glad your DS is doing better! Asthma is so scary, especially in little ones. Add me to the sore throat club. I also hurt my back somehow and can barely lift B. Thank goodness it's Friday and DH will be home all weekend.
Oh well guess the shitty sleep the last few days wasn't the rocking back and forth? Just felt his gums and 2 new teeth popped through last night. Tylenol it is
I had E in bed with me this morning. He was sleeping and I had my back turned to him while I played games on my phone. Then I heard him waking a little and the first thing he did was reach up, touch my back, and open and close his hand on it. I rolled over and said "Good morning" and he started smiling, but closed his eyes at the same time because he was still tired and waking up. He always wakes up happy, but this morning was definitely the sweetest!

I'm actually in Mobile, AL... before NOLA grew up, Mobile was the capital of the Louisiana territory because it is a major port, so we do Mardi Gras pretty big, too.

Why is it when I'm super stressed out and trying to get ready for a dr appt that's when Jules decides to scream at the top of her lungs and nothing makes her stop.
Between my bronchitis and L's bad nights, this has been the worst week I've had for several months. However, things are looking up. L is playing happily on her own at the moment. She's only started doing that this week and I'm well aware that the cognitive changes are probably contributing to the poor sleep. We went shopping after playgroup this morning and in one charity shop I got two stunning party dresses in 12-18 and 18-24 month sizes, and a red velvet coat with heart shaped buttons in 18-24 months, all for a total of £6 (about US$9 I think). That's the biggest size I'm allowing myself to buy at the moment!
Best of all, it's Friday. H will be home for the weekend in less than three hours. I'm hoping to persuade him that curry would be a good idea after such a difficult week...
On my way out the door to work, H said that for dinner he wanted to skip what we had planned and instead order sandwiches from this local deli. When I got to work, the first thing my boss said was he was getting us lunch from the same deli. So...I'm either opting out of free work lunch, or having it twice in one day. Hmmm...

A's developed a nasty cough and is wheezing now....he's also supposed to get his second flu shot today, but it may just turn into a sick visit. I wasn't looking forward to the flu shot anyway since he broke out in some random disappearing rash for two days after it.
We're supposed to be listing our house on the first and the realtor is coming to take pictures this weekend. With all of us being sick we haven't gotten hardly anything done, so I doubt that is going to happen. The quicker we can sell the house, the quicker I can get A out of daycare. I can't help get much stuff done around the house though because sick baby = around the clock attention and there is only so much I can do with a kid in a carrier. MH is being an asshat and complaining that he's doing all the work.
P.S. my kid is scared of the noise packing tape makes coming of the roll.....this is really not helping the situation

The obvious answer is you have it twice in one day. Never turn down free lunch!
