I'm so glad it's Friday. I only work half days on Friday.
Yesterday, I worked myself to the max. I feel so worthless because I can't do much without getting into a vomiting cycle. I worked from 6:45-3:45, made the short commute home and cooked up a plain quesadilla while I picked up the main parts of the house for piano lessons. I was able to lay down for 20 minutes before my students stared showing up at 5:30. I only had to teach until 7:00 so that was nice. I tried to eat some Chick Fil A but the only thing that tasted good was the lemonade. And I ran 2 loads of laundry and folded them. Then I went to bed. UGH.
Anyway, it's Friday. I'm going to a funeral at 2 but besides that my big plans are to sleep and pick up our room and bathroom a little bit. It's going to be nice this weekend so H is going to clean up the backyard some, and we're going to a chocolate festival on Saturday. That's the extent of my weekend!
I have a blanket, a hat, and a lovey to get done this weekend. I also have to go to work tomorrow. Hopefully, Sunday Mh and I will actually get to relax, watch a movie, maybe get our taxes done .
I cleaned all of downstairs yesterday and did laundry, so I need to get my second floor under control at some point today. Also, our friends came by and dropped off two bags of toys that their son (8 months older than k) doesn't use anymore. So that's another project to go through.
TheTuna15, ugh taxes. We just got all our W2s back and I should probably do ours as well, if only to see if we owe this year or will get some money back. If we get money back I would rather know soon so i can make all the plans to spend it
I am laying in bed though lol only because today is a work from home day and I technically don't start work until 9:25 so I'm good lol.
Honestly though I plan to vacuum the rest of the house which I feel like will take a long time since the new vacuum pulls up so much stuff I have to empty it so frequently the first time I do the floor. I am excited for clean floors though lol
I have to drive into the city later for SS1s hockey game and probably will make a pt stop at old navy since I found out you can't order maternity clothes from there online in Canada
cocobellaf - hope your vomiting takes off and you can eat more today. I am jealous of your chocolate festival.
acorn99 - what kind of curtains are you getting? Have fun on date night!

It's awful. MH said we should do it soon so we could use the refund to pay our property taxes coming up. Just the thought that literally half of our pay checks are gone before we see them, we get a minimal return, and then we have to use it to pay taxes to occupy space that we already own just makes me insane. We know people whose mortgages are less than our property taxes. New Jersey........
Ray, we need new curtains for our living room and I am trying to talk H into new ones for our family room, too. But we will see how much just one nice set are. Curtains are expensive, yo.
And who knows, maybe new curtains for the nursery since the ones in there are a dark blue.
I'm off from work today so I'm hoping to do some cleaning around the house and then getting my hair cut and colored. It's been way. too. long. My hair dresser is going to scold me.
I'm super excited to get my haircut today. I haven't cut my hair in 6 months and my hair has been growing like crazy.
Tomorrow I'm hoping to feel well enough for prenatal yoga and on Sunday we are going to a few open houses to see what is in our price range or if we should wait another year to be able to buy more house.

Is it your nursery that is HP themed? I forget sorry. If so, dark blue could work.
Or it could just be a good excuse for more new curtains lol
lovegrilledcheese, Usually, it's a little blanket or stuffed animals that babies 6mo+ and toddlers sleep with as a comfort item. I make little 10x10 blankets with a stuffed animal attached to it.

I'm looking forward to unseasonably warm Temps all weekend. It's going to be in the fifties! No big plans. My husband works every weekend. I am working Saturday night at my pt job at a paint and sip place. I just hope to get to the playground with my kid and soak up some sunshine.
We have a meeting to do our taxes in a couple weeks. I hope like hell we get a good refund this year because we need all the money for this baby. I love our accountant. He's awesome and just borderline shady enough to get us the max refund that won't raise red flags.

Nope, not HP theme. No theme at all, really, but I am looking for some brighter colors. But while we are on the subject:
FFFC: I have never read any Harry Potter books or seen any of the movies.
No real plans since DH always works on the weekends. I think one of the days I'm going to make corned beef and cabbage for the first time, so we'll see how that goes!
And I second binge reading HP, if you're into that sort of genre! I was obsessed with them in middle and high school, they're so great.

Today my department announced that we will no longer get to do casual Fridays. We will be 100% business casual all the time while every other department in the company gets to keep casual Fridays. I am pretty sure a bunch of people here are ready to start a mutiny. I am not happy with the decision but this department always gets treated like crap so its no surprise to me. It just contributes to me wanting to leave this dept more.
We have to go grocery shopping this week. I have a meal plan made but I still need to make the shopping list for what we will need. I hate grocery shopping...
My feels are all over the place today- I go from wanting to bawl my eyes out to wanting to freak out on everyone. WTH.
I just want to bitch for a minute about H. We use a budget program called YNAB and I'm sick and fucking tire of H saying I didn't enter my transactions. I did, damn it; sorry Amazon broke them into three separate transactions. I'm so over this budgeting shit, it is such a source of tension between us. UGHHHHHHHHHH!
I know it's a necessary evil but he doesn't have to be so accusatory every time it's off from what the bank says we should have. Stop it! Okay I'm done now.

Girl, I'm in IN and I get it. H is a salesman, so we pay SO. MUCH. TAXES. And we don't get shit back either. I'm avoiding scheduling our appointment to get ours done because I am afraid we are going to owe- H made enough last year that we will go up a tax bracket.

Are you in the Midwest? That's where I am, well I just said I'm in IN in the post before haha and it is going to be warm like that here too! I'm excited to bust out the stroller and go for a walk. And walk our lab, she's been a PITA because she has all of this bottled up energy.

Corned beef and cabbage is amazing. I did mine for years (like 20) in the oven but just recently switched over to using a crockpot and then adding the cabbage the last hour or so. De-lic-ious!!! And so tender! My mom followed suit not long after lol.

This weekend grocery shopping. We also plan to stop by Target and buy a few baby clothes. Just because they are so cute, on sale, and really want them before they run out.
I'm here now. DS is still sick- now on abx and breathing treatments. We were suppose to go see family tomorrow but my grandmother is going through chemo so I don't think DS will be coming.
Is anyone else feeling kicks yet? All morning on my drive to work I felt "kicks" in the same spot. It felt like something was flicking me in the uterus lol. I feel like a dope but I am almost positive that's what it was.

I haven't felt anything yet. I wonder if maybe I have felt something but since I'm a FTM I don't know what to look for.
