So WTH? I bought a pack of 2 Walmart Equate (+ -) tests yesterday and took one right away. I walked away before the window even started to turn so I didn't see what happened. It was negative..
This morning I thought I would do the other one, and I sat there and waited for the dye to start going across the window. And there it was, a +!! And then it was gone... It was like a reverse evap line. I waited the recommended time and went back to it, and there was no +, just a BFN.
I understand the whole evap line thing, but I never knew a test could show a positive and then go negative right after. It was the weirdest thing.
I will likely pick up a First Response test today and try it tomorrow morning. I'm still taking my progesterone because I haven't gotten my blood work results back from yesterday, plus no breakthrough bleeding of AF, so I didn't want to stop, just in case. Plus I have another req for blood work on Monday, so I'm going to that too since it looks like I'm waiting till Monday to get my Beta results as it is... I'm expecting a BFN, but without AF it's hard to know for sure. Maybe a late implantation??? I'm grasping at straws here... lol
Oh... Well there we have it... I kind of found my answer..
"Then we have the famous, “Disappearing,” Line. Many of us get that confused with a true positive result. Although it, (again) seems promising, it’s not considered legitimate. This Sometimes happens when the dye is not fully finished running across the test. The dye can get stuck or may stall in the correct spot briefly, but then continues moving along. Per Most manufacturers – a true positive result will stay intact for at least 48 hours if not a whole lot longer! I definitely can vouch for that myself. I opted to save my Pregnancy Tests from both of my pregnancies (my son is now 4 and my daughter is 3) and every test Line to this day still remains as vivid as ever!"

Don't count yourself out yet; I used to be #TeamPOAS but I didn't get a positive HPT until I was almost 6 weeks pregnant with this little lady because my HCG was so low...my 14dpiui beta was only 7.
Today I am 16dpiui. I haven't started my period but that's because I'm on progesterone. But I took a First Response this morning and it negative. I want to stop taking the meds, but I still haven't gotten my Beta results from my blood work on Friday... So I'll stay on them till I get to go ahead to stop.
We figure we'll try one more IUI after Jo gets home from her tour and if that's a bust, then moving forward to IVF. Which scares the cr@p out of me... Plus the fact that we have to live in Saskatoon for pretty much the 3 weeks... I don't know how we are going to manage that one...
dannigirl-- I'm so sorry about the negative I hope that if this cycle doesn't turn out to be a surprise that the next IUI will work. IVF is a large undertaking but working with embryos rather than the unknowns of IUIs is really nice.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
