I'm Jessica, a 36 year old mother of 4 children (ages 15, 12 11 and 8). So why am I here you ask? For one, the kids are getting older and I am regaining my sanity and for two, I'm getting re-married in June and we would like to try to have a baby together. As you can see by my age (advanced maternal age as the medical world calls me), we are going to start trying immediately after we say "I do". I used fertility friend to concieve #2 and #4. I've been off birth control (Mirena previously) for quite a while and so tracking my cycle for a year on fertility friend.
I'm getting slightly nervous about my cycles... Past 3 months have been getting longer and longer (waiting to o 18-25 days) and the current cycle I am on CD 53 and have not o'd yet. I am considering seeing my doctor at day 60. Even though I am not actively TTC I am worried about my fertility.
Anyone have any thoughts, besides the fact I just about wrote a book for my initial thread?!?
Welcome. Seems you're doing what you can. General concensus is to see your doctor if you reach cycle day 60 without a period or bfp. Are you temping? That would be something else to consider. Good luck!
I've been temping but only for 3 days of elevated temps then quitting since I'm not "trying" right now. So I got my cross hairs and then quit. My LP is usually 12-15 days and so whe I got to LP day 16 with no period I took a pregnancy test with FM urine and was negative. I started temping at that point and temps were in my typical pre o range.

Welcome. I think you are taking the right steps by waiting until CD 60. Sorry the longer cycles are becoming frustrating, but 36 is definitely still young enough to have another LO without tremendous difficulty. I too would take up temping because it gives you confirmation of ovulation and a great idea of how your body works. Good luck.
Welcome! I'm AMA as well, and have long cycles. I never O before CD 20 without fertility meds. I O'd last cycle on CD 32. I'm on CD 23 now with no O. I have the occasional Annovulatory cycle too. We conceived #1 on a natural cycle, so long cycles don't always mean anything as long as you are ovulating.
Sounds like you are temping and usually ovulate, so at 60 days get Provera to jump start a cycle, and hopefully you'll get right back on track.

FWIW, lots of women get pregnant with delayed O, but I definitely understand why it's a concern. I worry more now that I'm nearly 35 than I did before DD was born. I think calling the doc soon is a good idea, and I think it may be worth a chat to find out when the doc would like to see you for testing if ttc takes awhile. That said, anyone can have a fluke cycle, so even though you are AMA, I wouldn't rush to testing if that's what you are asking. Find out what your doc recommends - mine recommended I call her after 4 well-timed cycles because of previous sub-fertility issues - and go from there. Try not to worry over the length of your cycle too much or read too much into it. If you are still regularly ovulating - even it's later then the 'norm'- then you should be able to get pregnant.
Welcome! I look forward to seeing you at the Trying for a Sibling Tuesday Check-Ins! Four children and working on number 5 makes you my hero! I am one of six and I love having a ton of siblings!
