First poop accident. C was pretty grossed out by it so I'm hoping it won't happen again. I wasn't as grossed out as I thought I would be.
Col had 2 last Monday alone. All the chocolate had at least hardened things up - I'm terrified this weekend now that he's back to his usual diet full of fruits and veggies. DNW more poop accidents!
No accidents today! It freaks me out how long he can hold it at times...
Now let's hope that tomorrow goes as smoothly with me solo parenting all day. We're even heading out in the morning, just for groceries, but still. I'm feeling adventurous.
So Col pooped himself at lunch, which was gross. But I was telling him it was time to put a pull-up on before nap and he started yelling about needing the potty, he was almost in tears. I thought he was trying to stall nap but nope, he sat down and he peed with purpose. He got an extra M&M for that!
We went to a couple grocery stores this morning, about a 2 hour trip away from home. I put him in a pullup but underwear overtop and stressed to him that he is in underwear so he needs to tell us. We got home, he peed on the potty and his pull up was dry. He's doing so well, I'm so proud of him.
Great job, B! But...you have to drive two hours to go to the grocery store???
Poop accidents don't bother me because I changed her poopy diaper for 2 1/2 years. Same thing different venue, lol.
They bother me because there's no clean way to pull down underwear filled with poop without it getting anywhere (at least with the type of poop C has)!

I guess when H had accidents it was usually in turd form, and not smashed into her panties usually.

Ohhh ok. C has very large and very soft poops. That shit is everywhere.
Col had the one poop accident today and that was it for the weekend. He didn't fight me today, peed every hour, and even initiated going on his own once. I have no idea what this means for our trip to Sesame Place next weekend but we'll figure it out eventually.
I brought home 2 bags of Colin's stuff from daycare today and was thinking he had a bad day. But then realized that one of the bags was his bedding. They got brave and tried a nap in underwear. He wakes up dry from naps on the weekend about half the time, so it wasn't a totally crazy thought. But he peed every time they had him try - not sure if he asked or not - and he was even on the playground in underwear when I picked him up. He really seems to be catching on.
Now we just need to tackle proactively pooping on the potty!

So we haven't been doing great since moving up to the preschool room. So today I got a potty timer. It's a regular one hour cooking timer. I showed Doug how it works and told him when it dings we have to go potty. Today while we were out I set a timer up on my phone. He still fought it but not as much. Only one accident today so far. He played with the timer and made it ding so I still made him go and sit on the potty. I want him to know it's not a toy and I'm going to take him to the potty ANY time the timer goes off.
Col did great at Sesame Place and even peed at the park a couple times. Kid can hold it for hours though! He peed at the restaurant for dinner in both the men's and women's rooms and is now hooked on trying ALL the potties. He even pooped on the potty at the hotel and wanted nothing to do with his chair, which we'd brought.
Today he peed at DH's Aunt's house repeatedly when we stopped there on our way home but fully peed himself once we'd been home. I was actually asking him to sit on the potty so we could grocery shop and he was refusing, then suddenly he was peeing. He really hasn't done that since day one - not at home, anyway - and he got so upset. He was great the rest of the evening!
Oh and he wore pull-ups on the 3 hour drive. He asked to stop but we were in traffic so we told him just this once to pee in the pull-up. He narrated the whole thing and told us he never wants to wear pull-ups again.

Anyone's LO night PT too? I've made no attempts at that other than making sure B goes potty before bed. But last night she was saying she wanted to wear her underwear to bed, not a pull-up. She does wake up dry maybe 3-5 nights out of the week. I'm not sure if we're ready.

yummeecookee not yet. She is waking up dry each morning, but I'm having her use up the pullups we have before letting her wear underwear. She sees it as her goal to wake up dry, so she can have the "prize" of wearing panties to bed soon.
yummeecookee - Col is no where near night trained and we're not even worrying about it for now. His pull-up is still pretty wet in the morning so we're just figuring he'll get there in time.

Yes. H started taking her diapers off as soon as I put her in her crib so I stopped putting them on her. This was a few weeks after we started potty training. She was waking once or twice a night to go potty but doesn't really wake up anymore.
yummeecookee V is night trained. She told is she didn't need the diapers so we stopped. She's had very few accidents and I think all are because we just didn't get to her fast enough when she called for someone to take her to the potty.

Last night was the first night in panties. I was a bit worried because her last two pullups she woke up wet in, so I was starting to second guess our decision, but she did it and woke up dry. I know accidents will always be a possibility, but I'm glad there wasn't one the first night.

Well, we had our first wet the bed incident. She came to me this morning while I was getting ready and said her pants were wet. I told her no big deal, just take them off. Me: take your panties off too. C: are they wet? Me: if your pants were wet, then your panties probably are too. Let's go get the sheets off your bed. C: why? Me: cause you peed in the bed, so we need to wash everything. C: I peed in the bed???!!!??
My guess is she peed in the middle of the night and just slept through it because she was still able to pee first thing this morning.
