I've heard that they say you should use a new mattress because the used ones get "softer" and the firmer, the better for SIDS. I don't know the truth to it but we will be getting a new mattress because I'll be getting a new crib as well. DS' crib converts into toddler bed.
danielle that picture is hilarious...it really does look like a peep. I think you have a good nickname for it for the next 33 weeks. Glad you had a good appointment!
Speaking of peeing, I go so much I've started using a different bathroom at times so that the ladies in the office don't catch on.
ETA: I don't know how the teachers do it all day with minimal bathroom breaks. Luckily the longest I am in a classroom is 30 minutes!

I gave up on people not realizing that I'm pregnant. So many people in our life know already.
Don't they know you don't make a pregnant woman wait for pizza pismoduo?
I got this 'manly' ticker so my H would be interested. Well he is, but now he's going off about how there are actually lots of sizes of 6-32 screws and they should be more accurate blah blah.

For real. I need GrubHub to put an "I'm pregnant" check box so they can expedite service.
And as to tickets, my H keeps arguing that my ticker has a different size than the what to expect website does.
They're also the ones who answer the phones when parents call their kid in sick, so diarrhea is usually a daily topic. It would probably work with other people though.
Ugh. H just called. Apparently our mortgage got transferred to a new servicer. Which is fine, it happens. But we got notice about it like 3 weeks ago (by an electronic note on our account, not by mail) that it would transfer February 1st and we should be getting a welcome packet for the new servicer.
Except we never did. And when H called the old mortgage company to see if they were still going to take our payment, they told us that it was all a mistake and we weren't actually being transferred, so don't worry and our payment would be pulled that day.
So... No payment has been pulled. Our online login with the old company says we are no longer their customer, and when you call the new company their automated system won't put us through because we don't have an account number and therefore aren't a customer or something.
So fucking ridiculous. Now I have to try calling in the morning since everyone is closed now.
pismoduo that's so lame. Good luck fixing it tomorrow!
I think the thing with crib mattresses is that the plastic breaks down over time.
At what age do you switch LO to a toddler bed? I'm thinking we'll keep new baby in the rnp and/or bassinet for a few months and then I'd like to put him/her in DS' crib and switch him to a toddler bed.
I think we'll reuse just about everything and just get extras:
Changing pad for downstairs Sound machine Bottles and pacifiers Dresser
Ughhh I see myself going down an OJ black hole!! I was 5ish when this all happened and I want to know what's true and what isn't!
mrsjene told me about a conspiracy theory that has been brought up that claims OJ's son (from his first marriage) did it. I was down the Google rabbit hole for a good hour.
Oh wow, I've never heard that one. Interesting! But what about how he used to beat the shit out of her? I have the first episode recorded.
pismoduo that is so awful! You should probably keep documentation of your attempts in case they try to pin their complete and utter lack of competence on you. Hopefully it will be straightened out tomorrow.
You were 5!!!! I feel old as balls now, I was in high school when the trial took place.
Well when did it happen?? 94is?? I was born in 89, so +-5.
Yeah, I think the verdict came down in spring of 95? We watched it live in my government/civics class (on a tv that was rolled into the room on a cart. Old school.) I maybe/probably remember that wrong though (again, I'm old).

DH is 10 years older than me and he refuses to watch the show. He said he wasted enough of his life on it the first time around. FTR, the still rolled TVs into the rooms when I was in HS too!
