I passed out before the game was over because yesterday was a day from hell. But at least K is still sleeping and I got through a cup of English Breakfast while it was hot. I told Mh if he came home and the house was on fire, not to be alarmed because I'd make sure to get our kid and the cats out before I started lighting matches. That's probably not healthy, but yesterday put me in that super fun mood.
LOL housecarder! You should be in one of those commercials!
We stayed up and ate nachos and watched the game. Well, I watched until the beginning of the 4th quarter and got bored and went to sleep. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge football fan, but that game was boring as fuck.

We went to wedding on Saturday and didn't get to bed until 1am of course DD was up at 6 and my hungover husband did not get up with her. So i made it to half time last night and then want directly to bed. I wish was still sleeping right now ha.
Ooh! We did some Craigslisting this weekend and I got a new-in-the-box Summer Infant BestView Handheld wireless color baby monitor set for $60 and a moby wrap (for free). Yay!! And we settled on a nanny this weekend as well. That is a huge load off my plate!
I went to a consignment store yesterday and found 2 good pairs of business appropriate maternity pants and paid only $7 for them.
I have to start thinking of putting my name on the waiting list for our daycare for this LO. It is $125 just to put my name on and that covers registration for the first year. I really want to wait until my A/S is done and we know everything with LO checks out but I know spots will fill up quick for the first week of November.
I like to troll ThredUp for maternity clothes. Once I figured out what size I was in certain brands it was easy to order from there.
And I just got a verbal agreement on buying an Ergo with infant insert for $60 off Craigslist. H will pick it up tomorrow. Yay again!
DO YOU ORDER FROM THERE ALOT!?!?!?
Sorry, a little excited. I troll that site hardcore, but I've been reluctant to buy because I haven't heard of anyone who uses it consistently. So, you like?
TheTuna15, I've ordered and sold there multiple times. As long as you don't order Final Sale, you can return (but you'll have to cover shipping or you can get the full price in store credit).

I went to Costco instead of watching the game, but got home around 3rd quarter so I watched the rest. MH and I both had bad headaches and of course DD wanted us to pay attention to her the whole time. I felt bad constantly telling her that we didn't feel well. I woke up this morning still with a headache and then started puking before work, so that took up the time I needed for giving DD a bath before going to preschool. So she was sent to preschool dirty. On the plus side, after a year of debating, I think we have come to an agreement on our next vehicle. Now I just need to get him to agree to light gray or white, instead of black.
harlowjune1984, swirl marks on black cars. If you take a black car through a car wash, you can see swirl marks from the brushes in the sun when it's clean. White cars look newer longer. This is how I got the switch to white in my house haha.
Didn't watch the game, not interested unless it's my team playing!
DH got laid off last week and I've been in a funk ever since. Last thing we need right now is to burn through our savings so I'm hoping he finds a new job fast. This year has not been kind to us thus far. I really want to have my A/S and everything to look good just so I can have one less thing to worry about.

My DH was laid off 2 weeks ago and I've been stressing ever since so I can totally relate. FX YH gets a job soon.

Thanks. I'm sorry that you can relate, hopefully yours gets a job soon too.
My H works in the oil/energy sector here in OK. It's a matter of "when" here, we're just trying to hang on for the severance package or a better job. Hugs to you ladies! tikoberry99, glaze

tikoberry99, glaze, fingers crossed for you ladies and your husbands! We went through that in August. My husband took his first (completely unplugged) vacation in 13 years, came back to work, and they laid him off. He was bringing in more money (he works in sales), than all of the other sales employees, but they wanted to take their business in another direction. It was a scary time, as I only make around $1,000 a month (after taxes), and half of the paycheck when to health insurance for DD and I.....and because he decided to start up his own business after the layoff, he didn't qualify for unemployment. The only thing that saved our asses for the handful of months while he was getting his business started, was that he has always kept a years salary (and then some) as an emergency "unemployed bumper". It was something that was never touched, not even to pay off bills faster or to pay for anything else. Because he worked in sales, he never knew when something was going to happen, people would stop buying, and we would be left high and dry. Even with that bumper, it was stressful, as we cut back on pretty much everything just so we wouldn't deplete that savings. Thankfully, everything worked out, and he likes being his own boss (doing the same thing) and cutting out the middle man. Hopefully your husbands are able to find something soon, and you both can relax a little about finances!
TheTuna15, I would totally try that, but we hand wash our vehicles (I only sneak our car into the car wash when MH is out of town and wont know). Right now, our truck is light gray (only because we bought it off of FIL, who decided he no longer wanted it), so we didn't get to pick the color. If we bought it through a dealership, he would have gotten black. My car is a shade of red, and it was the only color that was in stock when we bought it. I have brought up to him several times that on the darker vehicles, you can see the scratches better. And being the main vehicle for children, the last thing you want is tons of little scratches and marks from them. He should know this, as at a BBQ at a friends, some kid drove a trike down the driveway and scratched from front bumper to back bumper (the handle no longer had the rubber on it). It went through all three layers of paint, and cost us $3,000 to fix. Because it was SO apparent due to the dark color of red, it was something we had to do right away. Had it been a lighter color vehicle, we could have waited a little longer and it wouldn't have been so noticeable. A few months ago, one of my nanny kids took a rock and "doodled" all over the passenger door (I was on the other side of the car, helping his sister get in)....and again, it wouldn't be as noticeable if the car was lighter. Luckily, our DD knows not to do that, but all it takes is some kid in a parking lot, doing something to it while his/her mom is getting another kid or groceries in the car.....or a kid riding a trike at a BBQ. Lol!
glaze, tikoberry99, I'll keep my Fx for you guys! That's insanely stressful.
harlowjune1984, We hand wash ours too, but I always pull the weeeeeeelllllll what if we do it one time? The scratches are real business though! MH had one of those metallic blue colored cars for a while and I nearly had a panic attack any time someone took a step too close to it. You could see EVERYTHING. Black is a rough color. Hopefully you'll be able to voodoo him into something lighter. Or use sex magic. That occasionally works.

TheTuna15, I figure that I will just only find the color that I want online, and show him those colors when we go in person. HAHA! I use to have a dark green Honda and the car wash scratched the top of the trunk...it sucked so bad. I have a feeling that I will get him to cave for a white one, over a light gray one, because he will feel like two light gray vehicles are too "matchy".

I hope everything works out for you guys! Job stress is no fun. The added pregnancy hormones do not help dealing with stressful stuff either! I'm all over the place.
