I am finally feeling good enough to get something done today. This last week has been a write off. I have to do laundry and get packed for this weekend. My mom and I are taking B on a 7 hour car trip and I am not looking forward to it. I will be the one driving so I really hope B is good in the car. Her new convertible car seat should be here so I hope it helps.
Im feeling the sadz. Last night A wouldn't let me hold her in my arms and rock while giving her her bedtime bottle like we have everyday of her life. She wanted to sit up so I had to let her sit up on me and she fell asleep immediately. Then this morning she wouldn't let me feed her her bottle she wanted to do it all herself. How has this happened?
DD doesn't want to be rocked to sleep anymore:( she prefers to lay in her crib and hold my hand now. Which is still sweet, but I miss the snuggles!
Give me all the coffee! Stayed up later than normal reading. Finally realized how late it was and went to bed only to have C wake up screaming 40 minutes later. Tried to rock him for 20 minutes with no luck. So I laid him back in his crib and went to lay back down (after Turing the monitor off) figuring he'd go down in a few minutes. Nope just laid there crying. Went back in to check (his new game is to flip to his belly and he hates it) and just brought him downstairs. We snuggled on the couch and both fell asleep for about 2 hours. Brought him back up to his room and he began crying as soon as I laid him down. Back downstairs we went. And to top it all off he was up 1.5 hours earlier than normal.
+1 to the my baby doesn't want to be rocked to sleep anymore. Monday when I picked him up from daycare around 5, his daily report said he last nap ended around noon, so I tried rocking him in my arms to take a quick couch nap with him before dinner. He screamed and tried to catapult himself out of my arms, almost made me cry. He does still let me rock him in the middle of the night though, it made me not mind our 1 am wake up last night as much because those sweet moments cuddling my baby are slowly getting fewer and fewer.

budders, that's frustrating. Would it be possible to call the doctor and have them add those tests to the sample they got?
Happy birthday to your H erbear, hopefully you'll still have time to celebrate tonight.
I need to find a hand doctor. I feel like a have a bone/cyst from where the base of my thumb meets my wrist. It's been hurting all week. I think I have the same thing in my ankle too, although it doesn't hurt as much.
The company that did our apartments asbestos abatement went rogue, and if some of you remember we had to pay an additional 6,000 for their violations in June. Apparently they settled in court and went MIA again so they sent a letter addressed to them "1st responders Corp," but to our buildings management address, who proceeded to give to us. Poor H was having an anxiety attack over this. We already paid over 10,000 for removal, 6,000 in violation fees, we can't be held responsible for the 8,000 they owe right? Especially since on the ECB website it shows we paid our fine.
According to my fb on this day, last year we had our anatomy scan. So funny to see him called Extra. Reading the comments- man I had a lot of people bummed because we were team green.

Kristykristyleelee these babies are growing too fast! It's so bittersweet when they become independent.
erbear Happy Birthday to your H! Stay safe in the snow today!
sabrinaml that sounds exhausting I hope you have a better night tonight!
budders I hope alll your tears come back normal and no further testing is needed!!
We have a super busy day. We are going to tour a daycare that I really want Jules to go to. She would be able to stay there through Kindergarten. Then we have Gymboree, the chiropractor, and swim class! I really hope Jules takes naps in between everything!

DH and I got into it last night over where we're staying for Easter. He's insisting we rent this tinyhouse (literally, it's 8x8) because it's closer to his mom and he doesn't want to drive the 15 minutes to a hotel because that's less time with his family.

If it is an apartment and you are renting do A, you have renters insurance and B why are you responsible for it? Shouldn't it be the rental property responsibility?? I would be talking to a lawyer about this. That doesn't sound right at all!

Hes freaking out over a 15 minute drive??? 15 minutes is not a big deal...if it was say 45 minutes i could understand that, but 15 minutes is nothing. I say book the hotel and tell him its booked and you cant get a refund.
We ordered the baby gates and outlet covers last night. Plus a super cute baby photo album to put pictures of family in so we can practice signing. I love Amazon so much.
I've been going through pictures to order them for scrapbooking and it's totally giving me the sadz...I didn't like the newborn stage, I LOVE this stage but I'm sad that soon he won't be a baby and will be more of a little boy.
So sad reading about all the babies who don't want cuddles :-(. My girl is a lot more cuddly since she started cuddling us back and I haven't been appreciating it properly.
carrots, rather you than me... at least it was easy to clean!
budders, hope you are able to get the other tests added.
This morning we went to music group. L usually spends the whole hour standing up holding my fingers and dancing. Today she did a lot of that, but she also went onto all fours and tried to crawl. It isn't far away!
Afterwards I turned down the offer of a cuppa and chat and went for a walk because the weather's gorgeous. We walked for an hour. Then home for lunch, and now I have a nap resistant girl.

dmoney, we own the apartment, but it's a COOP, not a condo. we spoke to lawyers about it in June, and they pretty much said we were screwed then. We had to go to ECB court.

I googled hand doctors on the castle Connelly website, and they suggested a few affiliated with NYU medical center. None of those accept my insurance.
But he does
You think it's still ok to go since he's in the same practice with those other doctors? I think he just finished his residency lol. @bubbs119, I'm looking at you.

DEFINITELY pick him. Who needs experience when you have that face?

@jemomma I used to teach preschool and for Valentines day we would have the kids sit in a circle with their bags and the adults would walk around handing out. Otherwise it was just absolute insanity to do Valentines with kids who couldn't read.
We also requested that the parents address all the Valentines "Dear Friend"...
DD definitely still wants the snuggles, but she's crazy busy about it and has to switch her head from one arm crook to the other until she passes out haha. She's a more cuddly baby (with me) in general than DS was, but he can be pretty cuddly now he always preferred his dad's cuddles as a baby.
I planned on making Valentines cookies with DS today and yesterday my grandma brought me a giant batch haha. I might make them anyway, maybe H can take some to school.
Ugh...I'm here. I was so mad at this morning because I'm not used to having to get me and two kids out of the door in time and we were running SO late. On my drive to work after drop off, I passed an accident that JUST happened, no police there yet and like 6 cars involved. If I wouldn't have been running late, I would have probably been involved. Never been so happy for a three year old meltdown in my life.
Drinking coffee and thankful for a slow morning at work.
So, I just picked V up at day care. He doesn't feel warm to me, and though he doesn't look like he feels well, he wasn't as sick as I was expecting him to be. She kept pushing saying that she thinks he needs to go to the doctor. I really think that she thinks he's sicker than he is, and that this is kind of her push to keep him out of daycare for a few days. She said that since he had a fever, he couldn't come back tomorrow, but his forehead feels totally normal. I'm kind of annoyed because this is the first circumstance we've run into where I feel like she and I are not on the same page.
Did she give him Tylenol to bring the fever down? That's awfully fast for a fever to come down.
What was going on when he "threw up"? Was he upset about something, eating and gagged, coughing and gagged?
I'm kind of siding with you on this one...sounds like she wants him out for a couple of days.
