DH and I met on a blind date. His best friend came into the dental office where I work and we chatted while I took his X-rays. A couple days later he called the office and said he wanted to set me up with his friend. We met for drinks and I talked his ears off for 4 hours! The funny thing is, I almost didn't go out with him bc he's a Scorpio lol I'm so glad I took a chance on my Scorpio!
We went to high school together, he was a senior and I was a junior. We were on the quiz bowl team together for a year and hated each other. Then he graduated and decided to do 2 years at the local community college to save college costs. My senior year I did the Running Start program my state offers and swapped all my high school classes for college classes at the college. We hung out in the same group of friends and eventually ended up carpooling to campus together every day. By spring we were dating.
It's funny - no one really thought it would last, especially with me going off to college 3+ hours away the following year. But here we are, 11 years later. Married, homeowners, 2 dogs and a baby on the way.

At a bar. He tapped me on the shoulder. We talked. I ended up with his number. We don't really remember this interaction, or what we talked about. I woke up and my friend told me I got his number. It was "Boy NR". I called it drunk a few days later and only called it drunk for a few weeks. We ended up talking a lot and there ya go.
ETA - after seeing the love tit saying - I thought I should clarify that we do not have drinking problems. I promise. haha! I was in college and it was winter break. We have grown out of that.

He worked at a summer camp from 05-07 but still volunteered regularly. I was working at the same camp several summers later as a lifeguard. He came up during staff training to assist the lifeguards with setting up for the summer. The first time I saw him, he was swimming the docks out to the middle of the lake by himself.
He came up a few more times throughout the summer and we got to know each other but nothing really happened.
In the Fall, I was back at school and got an email from him saying he was coming to my campus to recruit and wanted to know if I wanted to grab dinner with him. It was unclear whether this was a date or not but he did pay and then we walked around campus and talked for 3 hours. After that, he called me pretty regularly and then I guess it turned into something because here we are!
A bar. Mutual friends were having a joint birthday party and we just started talking. He bought me a red bull vodka slushy and we never parted the rest of the night. I was dating (openly) someone else at the time and so was he. I guess when ya know, ya know! ... or it could have been the vodka...

We met over the phone my senior year through a mutual friend. He was actually my first legit boyfriend.
Long story below- The mutual friend and I were staying at a friends house and I had just gotten a nextel, well my friends and I really wanted to use the two-way feature because we were dorks and bored but instead of giving my number to one of the other kids we went to school with she gave it to a complete stranger (to me, she was dating one his friends at the time). The next day I was at a kids birthday party and the only other person my age that was supposed to be there ditched. So after trying to call everyones number I had and getting no one I called him. I figured WTH I'm bored and I'll never talk to him again so why not. This was way out of my comfort zone I don't reach out to new people im a very private and reserved person. Anyways we talked for a few hours, said goodbye and went about our days. The very next day he called me as soon as I got home from school, weirded me out. I think I actually asked him why he was calling. I honestly thought we'd never talk again so when he called I couldn't understand why. From that day on we would talk for several hours a night every night. We actually didn't get meet eachother in person until almost 6 months later. Our first offical date was my senior prom. Now here we are almost ten years later.

We're those gross high school sweethearts you hear about. We met while working at Pizza Hut our junior year. Been together 15 years this past December and married for 7.
Edit: He had a bunch of piercings and dyed hair. I thought he was a bad boy but he ended up being the sweetest guy. Our first date we went to a coffee house and then saw Meet the Parents.
We're also high school sweethearts. I was at a girls' boarding school and he was at our 'brother school'. We used to sneak out of the boarding houses and meet in the gardens between the schools.
We've been together 10.5 years and married for nearly 4.
We met at a park on the 4th of July when we were 15. We both were seeing other people at the time but became friends. We both ended up ending our relationships for various reasons that did not include us getting together. Then on Valentine's Day of 1999 he asked me out. We have been together 17 years on Sunday and have been married for 11.
We met on eharmony! I saw that he had viewed my profile but he hadn't invited me to communicate. I thought he was super-cute, so I went way out of my comfort zone and sent him a message. We met within a week or two and clearly it was magical Whenever I tell our story to someone he always says that he didn't invite me to communicate with him because he thought a girl like me would never be interested in a guy like him. Aw.

PG version: We met in college, I was a sophomore and he was a junior. My BFF took me to a party at the on-campus apartment of a group of guy friends that she knew. My H was one of the guys who lived there and we started talking, became friends, and started dating a year later. Dated 5 years, got married, and we just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last fall.
Actual version: All of the above, except in the year between the time we met and when we actually started dating, we were FWB and banged it out every chance we got. That part usually doesn't make it into the official story, lol.
Another pair of high school sweethearts here. We started dating in Gr 12 after I got out of a messy breakup. He was supposed to be my rebound guy. Whoops. We've been together since 2004 and married since 2012.

My 2 friends and his friend were friends and worked together at a company that occasionally made it possible for employees to get tickets to movie sneak previews. My friends and his friend each got tickets + a guest to a sneak preview for Zombieland - my friends brought me, his friend brought him.
We all went out to dinner after the movie and my now H and I spent a lot of time chatting during dinner. The 5 of us started spending a good amount of time together and 2 months later he asked me out on a date. After the best first date ever we both pretty much knew we were it for each other. A year later he proposed and 10 months after that we got married.
We met at a get together at my friend's house. He was 17 and I was 20. We instantly hit it off and talked for hours. He was (and still is) very mature for his age. I was able to have conversations with him at an intellectual level that I never did with any guy that was my age.
My dad and his grandfather we're talking about some website. My dad was spelling it out to him but it ended up confusing the grandfather instead. So, I was trying to hurry and think how I could give H my number without my parents finding out, so I said I'd go write the website on a piece of paper. I wrote the website on one side and wrote my number on the other side. I quickly ran over to H and gave it to him before they took off.
30 min later I get a text from him saying that I was very clever and that he actually just gave his grandfather the paper without looking at it and when his grandfather saw my number he said "I think this side is for you" and gave him back the paper.
We moved pretty fast. Met in June '10 dated in Nov '10, engaged Jan '11, married April '11.
High school English class sophomore year! I dated his best friends and we got really close. When his friend and I broke up, my DH and I kind of realized we'd been falling in love for the past year! Been together ever since!
We were set up on a blind date my senior year in college. His childhood friend was my roommate, and he was living at home doing an internship near our college for a semester. We were both pretty shy, so needed to be set up.
7 months after we started dating I decided to go to grad school near him. We were living together a year after that and engaged 6 months later. We've been married 5 years this summer.
We met at a party hosted by mutual friends. We talked four hours and when I got home the next morning he'd already asked me to be his MySpace friend (it was ten years ago). We actually went to college together and we were both in marching band so we had quite a few mutual friends but we didn't met until years after we graduated. We've been together ten years, married for nearly six.
DH and I met in HS Band 21 years ago!! I was a freshman and he was a sophomore. We were friends for years. I started to like him right after senior year, but I was going away to college and he was joining the Marines. I deferred a semester and spent that whole time hanging out with him. He never knew I liked him. We went our separate ways and a few years later he came home on leave over 4th of July weekend. I was having a party at my parents house, and out of nowhere we started making out in the hot tub and have been together ever since. Dated long distance while he was in the Marines in San Diego, then Iraq. Then he got out and proposed that night. We've been together for 14 years, married for almost 11. So crazy!!

theophania I'm an ex raver too! I can't tell you how happy I am that social media wasn't a thing back then lol no evidence except for a few disposable camera photos.
Short version: we met at a bar. Dated for about 9 months, 6 of them seriously, got engaged, and married a year later.
Long version: I graduated early from college, so I was working and living with my parents while I waited for my grad school program to start in 9 months. My brother and his new girlfriend insisted I come out with them. DH was actually hosting a Porn 'n' Potluck night at his house (everyone has to bring a dish to pass or a porn to watch), and they decided to hit the bars about midnight. The party also had a theme, "Pimps and Hoes," so DH was wearing pleather pants, a long faux fur coat, and a fury zebra striped hat. It was the middle of January, so Halloween was nowhere in sight. What can I say, I've got great taste in men.
My younger sister picked my brother and I up in my mom's mini-van and one of the guys from the Porn 'n' Potluck party offered my sister $50 to give them a ride home. My sister being a saavy college freshman, certainly agreed, so we piled like 12 people into my mom's mini van, and I was sitting on DH's lap. We'd been chatting at the bar for a while, and he asked for my phone number. I was about to give it to him, when his friend tried to kiss me. One of the other people in the car was like, "OMG, you're married!" (Meaning the very drunk friend of his that tried to kiss me). I just told him I'd give him my number another time after that. A couple months later, we saw each other when we were out dancing, and I gave him my number. He called, and out first date was St. Patrick's Day, and the rest is history.
We're going on 8 years of marriage this April. We've opened a business, kicked cancer and infertility's ass, and we're onto baby number three this fall.
