It's one whole degree here and only supposed to get colder throughout the day. We are going to a lacrosse game (I tutor several of the players for the univserity).Luckily we park close. I'm also currently getting my hair done. I only go every three months, so I was definitely in need of a good cut and highlights.

I think I'm going to check out Once Upon a Child and another consignment shop in my town today to see if I can get some good deals. We will probably also go to the park later for DS to release the demons!

My sister and my nephew came into my parents house for the weekend. He just turned 7 and DD turned 4 yesterday so we are having a joint party at my parents house. My nephew, I love him, but he is ALWAYS WOUND UP and loud. He winds DD up til she melts down and my sister is a very hands-off parent until she yells at and spanks her kid.
I am going to be happy when we are in the car and headed home tonight.
I had a dream that I was dating Justin bieber and the sex was amazing. I don't even find him attractive- he's like 10. I woke up lol'ing.
It's -2 and I'm at the gym then heading outside for the winter festival. Well prob last 5 min there but I'm not going to let a little freezing weather keep us from having fun.
I have a Skype date with my BFF in a bit & then DH and the dogs and I are planning on going to the beach. I almost hate to say what our weather is like reading about all the low temps....on Monday it's supposed to be 82. It is a little foggy this morning though.
I am done with my week of nights and officially exhausted. I cannot wait to be done with all my clinical hours next month. It is supposed to be in the low 50's here today. We are dropping off DD with my mom today and having a nice dinner out!

I beat you all with my frigid -45 windchill. We're hiding inside today and hoping the furnace doesn't die.
2 years ago today I was in labour! Ah! I'm all nostalgic today.
Except I think DD is getting a cold and it's making me wonder if her party tomorrow is a good idea or if I should cancel - except I don't know if I'll get all my money back. Dilemmas.
I haven't properly exercised in a month due to being sick the last 2 weeks and getting used to my new schedule prior (excuses, excuses) so I am determined to finally get that in today.
Then grocery shopping and not sure what else, we have some outing plans Sunday and Monday. DS has been obsessed with buying 'fish with eyes' (whole fish) and cooking it for dinner so that is what we will be having tonight, probably rainbow trout depending on what looks good.
6 months pregnant as of today, only 112 more days to go!
I like this site for tracking weeks/days left and associated dates. Scrolling down through all of the weeks that have already gone by feels very cathartic.

Add us to the it's way to cold to leave the house party! DS and I have been coloring, playing with his cars, and playing with his play food while I catch up on laundry.
2.0 has been kicking away today and pushing on the bottom of my rib age a lot. I can't sit comfortably unless I'm slightly reclined because of the pressure and pain it causes. It's a long weekend for me and I'm so happy about it because I need a break from work after last week and how stressful it was. I can't remember if I shared here or not but I started spotting on Wednesday and am now on a lifting restriction for 10 days, which is hard when you have a toddler and a DH who works long shifts.
My DS (who broke his leg in October) had been crying all morning, and randomly stopped putting weight on his leg, the same one he broke in the fall, and completely stopped walking and even standing. He hadn't had any fall or illness prior. Our doctor told us to take him to urgent care, which we did, and they did some x-rays. We haven't gotten the results back but there were no obvious breaks, and right now they are thinking he has something that's basically childhood arthritis In his leg which is causing him to not be able to walk on it. This could happen after a respiratory infection, but he hasn't seemed sick. However, we got vague info the first time when he actually fractured his leg. I'm really praying I don't have a toddler in a cast again…that was terrible for us all. Hoping he miraculously starts walking on it and it heals! So sad to see him be almost 2 and crawling everywhere again.

I went to Buy Buy Baby today to buy a gift for a friend's shower. We ended up registering and buying our one big purchase that we have planned (other than car seat) - a recliner! Too bad it'll be 6-8 weeks until it gets here. And then we got a costco membership. I spent waaaaayyyy too much money today.
packerfan4life great purchase! I got a Costco card yesterday. I feel like a real adult. txmommy14 that's is so sad. I hope it was just a sore day and he wakes up fine tomorrow. lakecountrygal sorry you are spotting. Not lifting a toddler is nearly impossible it will give him more independence though. Step stools for ds are your friend.
txmommy14 oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that your DS is having issues with that same leg again. I really hope they can figure out what's going on and that he won't have to be in a cast again! Keep us updated.
Negative numbers here as well. We are meant to be in the 50s by Tuesday. Weather is a mystery to me. We normally heat our house with a gas burning stove. But I finally turned on some of the electric heat this morning because the stove just can't keep up with -5. Electric is just horribly expensive, so only for emergencies. Poor DH actually had to go out in the cold for work this morning. Brrr.
Thanks babyzebra. I'm pretty freaked out about it. He can't put any weight on it still, can't walk and didn't do ANYTHING that would have injured it. I feel skeptical about the diagnosis the dr. gave him, but we'll see over the next few days. Unfortunately we cancelled our babysitter and date tonight we've been planning for a long time, even though we had paid for movie tickets and everything! I'm bummed, but mostly sad for DS and dreading this week if he doesn't improve since I'm not supposed to be lifting him so much with the previa!!
vivela, sorry about the weather, that sounds bad!!
DH just agreed to go to ikea!! Whoo hoooo! This means we are buying a dresser, cart, and shelving for the baby's room. I'm so excited. Shit's getting real!
Have any of y'all had a fever this pregnancy? If so, what did you do? I called my OB's office in hopes of speaking with an on call OB nurse, but there is just a recording that says if you think you're in labor or experiencing complications to go to L&D at the hospital to be evaluated. I have a 101 fever and have not kept any food down today. I'm not being ridiculous for going in to L&D, for this, right?

I had to go last time with DD when I got a high fever and couldn't keep food or water down. I ended up being dehydrated and on an IV. I think if you're worried it's worth the trip or at least a call into L&D to see what they suggest.
These last 3 weeks have been full of sickness! First DD had a stomach bug then I got it last week and now DH has shingles. He has an autoimmune disease and takes medicine that can cause it but he's been on it for years. I think between work and all the sickness that stress brought it out and because he's autoimmune the fevers and headaches are hitting him hard! Thankfully the pain from bumps have gone away and it was only in 2 spots. I'm just exhausted today and DD wouldn't nap again so it's been a long day! This is also why I haven't been participating as much as I'd like. Hoping he gets better soon and we can get back to normal!
