I vented a few weeks back about how DH was soooo embarrassed about the idea of bringing our Caio Baby! High hair to breakfast because it is so big and awkward and difficult etc even though he didn't even test it out.
Brought it today, super easy and fit right in the foot print of their regular chairs.. Ds was comfortable, secure and happy and didn't so much as squawk during breakfast, ate his biscuit and even made some friends at a neighboring table.
The restaurant staff even complimented DS on his cool chair
Do people wear shape wear under their clothes? Is that a thing? I've been looking on pintetest for clothing ideas (plus size styles) and all these models have flat tummies. Like all of them...how?!? I am between a size 12 and 14 currently and my stomach is nowhere near flat

I think this was on the old randoms thread, but I can't find it. What kind of probiotic have you used for your baby? DS is STILL having diarrhea on & off. Thinking he needs an extra boost to get his GI tract healthy again.

I do when I have to dress up fancy for work but not for everyday. That shit is not very comfortable. I have a slimming tank from target that works great is the most comfortable of all the shape wear I own. I am a size 14 and yeah, flat stomach is a dream!

You bring your own high chair? Does the restaurant not have high chairs?

I can't speak for how other people feel about those wooden high-chairs but in my experience, my kid cannot sit up in them, isn't at all secure and the lap belt doesn't do much for infants, only toddlers. When I tried using one it was a disaster, my kid was uncomfortable and sliding out of it and I ended up spending the whole time in the restaurant with him in my lap, grabbing at my face, while I tried to eat. After spending 8 months babywearing him in restaurants and half of that time not really being able to finish my food, it's time I got to actually eat a meal, so if it meant bringing a high chair, then I will bring a high chair:
@bunannie I need that chair! DS acts crazy in restaurant high chairs!! We usually pass him around until the food comes then stick him in the wooden chair with some puffs while I quickly eat before he gets bored and tries to wiggle out haha

Has anyone tried the tiny diner mat when using the wooden high chair? DD will sit up in the wooden highchair if I roll out mat on table and put some snacks and or toys to keep her occupied on it. We love it for eating out

The best parts are that it has an adjustable waist belt that actually clips and adjust behind the chair, so baby can't loosen straps or fuss and the tray part has clear plastic on it so you can wipe everything up w/ a baby wipe easily.
It also only weighs 8 lbs and the tray keeps them just far enough away from the table that they can't grab anything Success!

We used the stone field? Organic yogurt, toddler version with live cultures. Stopped his diarrhea in two days.

We've added that when this started about a month ago. It will clear up, for a couple days then come back. I've tried adding bananas too but then he gets constipated. Can't find a good balance He is still gaining weight and not dehydrated so my pedi hasn't seemed super concerned. I'm hoping we get some answers at his appointment on Thursday.

We use Klaire Labs (http://tinyurl.com/mp55aa9) in addition to Stoneyfield yogurt. DS went from alternating between diarrhea and constipation to being regular within a few days. You mix 1/4 tsp in LOs food or bottle once per day.

Our pedi recommended culturelle packets; Half in the bottle or Ultimate Flora cut into quarter and put that in the bottle!
I made lentil and rice soup for DS tonight. He ate it ok, but made faces. Halfway through DH feeds him some banana, then tells me to give him some more of the soup.
DS actually CRIED because I gave him soup and not banana.

I just want to thank you ladies for keeping me informed of things I didn't/wouldn't have known about without you. The "no jackets in the carseat" thing just seems like common knowledge to me now but I mentioned it to my childhood friend last night and she had no idea. She has a 1 year old & is a very intelligent, educated, sometimes neurotic person & she didn't know about it! One of the daycare ladies (not DDs teacher) also didn't know & said her granddaughter is always in a jacket in the car. So, thank you ladies for keeping me from making a very dangerous mistake!

Nearly everyone in my circle uses the suits or jacket in the carseat. I think only those who were on the dump knew.
I hate the coooonstant conversation with the FIL when we carry her inside wrapped in a blanket. (Where's her coat...you don't put coats on babies in car seats...but she's cold...but she's safer and is only going from front door to front door...well I don't like being cold for that time...but you're an adult and cane make that choice)

It is a very common mistake. I learned about it last year from the Car Seats For the LIttles Facebook page. And actually the coat rule applies to everyone in the car. Grown ups and kids. That is something that I never knew about either.
