Anyone see this? It's kinda cool that after 50 years a new book will be published. If I read it I'll have to read to kill a mocking bird again first as its says its a sequel of some sort.

This is too good to be true. TKAM is one of my all time favorite books. I never imagined another book by Harper Lee, let alone a sequel. This will be at the top of my list come July.

Not to be a downer, but I find the whole thing a little suspicious/sad. I've read a couple of articles about all of the various people surrounding her in her old age and the legal battles. Given how long she was vocal about not writing or publishing anymore, it seems odd that now she is on board with this manuscript being published, especially when there are questions about her memory and how with it she is.
Anyway, I honestly hope she just changed her mind because I hate to think of her being taken advantage of. But it seems like there has been so much chaos surrounding her and people whose loyalty she questioned at one point or another, that it makes me fear she is be taken advantage of for money.
I find Harper Lee fascinating. Largely due to her friendship with Truman Capote, admittedly. But also because of her lack of a public persona, despite writing one of America's great novels.
