Just found out I am having twins (I assume in late August...technically my EDD is 9/1 but they said they will do a RCS in week 38) and I currently have a 2 year old son, I am sure I will be relying on you fabulous ladies for some advice and insight as my pregnancy progresses.

Well I just had a follow up US and Baby A is measuring great, 10+3 with a strong HB of 162. Baby B measuring 7+2 with no HB. Both measured 6+5 with HBs at my last US in mid-January. I have no idea where to go from here. Is a loss board appropriate? Thank you for my short stay and I wish all of you H&H 9 months with your babies.

Carrying a Rainbow may be a good board for you to check out. Your situation is unique, but the ladies there have all experienced loss and are currently pregnant.

So sorry for your loss I hope that your other baby does well and the rest if your pregnancy is uneventful. I can only imagine how you must be feeling. Remember that it's okay to grieve, even as you celebrate the other baby.

On the Pregnant After Infertility (PAIF) board, I've seen a number of women who have experienced the early loss of a multiple (also called a vanishing twin), and who have gone on to have healthy pregnancies with their surviving baby.

I was going to recommend the Pregnancy After Loss board, but I believe this is the same as the Carrying a Rainbow board that ashb62 mentioned.

Be gentle with yourself, and allow yourself to grieve the loss of your child.

I lurk here sometimes as I was in a similar situation. It's really awful, but it actually is somewhat common (I was surprised by this when I started finding out about it). Since it was early, you shouldn't have any other problems with your pregnancy, I have a perfect 2 year old now after losing the 2nd baby at 14 weeks.

Definitely give yourself what time you need to grieve and I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy. The board named changed but carrying a rainbow will welcome you, I was on the old board and it was lovely to have the support,
