Ok ladies, it's been 4 days, 10 gallons of water, and still no poop.....I seriously have to stop eating so much cheese (#1 craving). I will jump on the fruit train tomorrow but if tomorrow goes the same as today I'm resorting to a stool softener for help. I have senokot from when I had my daughter but have you guys taken anything that you found particularly helped?

The psyllium husk caplets, I've used Target brand. It's the same thing that's in Metamucil, which is on my safe list. For the record, I think I only used 2 or 3 capsules at once and it says to use 5. And I got plenty of movement.

Green smoothies work for me. Takes about a week before you can see the difference. I normally use spinach, banana, one extra fruit like blueberry, milk, and a super food like chia. Before getting pregnant I was going twice a day. Now it's more like once a day and I skip a day here and there.
Somewhere I had a recipe for a green smoothie that we had to shelf. Mainly I called it the poop maker. Sent both me and my husband to the bathroom several times in the same day. I remember it had lemon, organge, ginger, and honey... not sure what else. But it was banned from my house. I will see if I can find it if you want to give it a shot.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, has worked for me! I've tried it all... Even giving in to a Tsp of straight veggie oil. I have more gas than I have had in the past year and I want to scream. End of rant.

Ughhh nothing is working for me either. I have a green smoothie every morning that I can stomach it... And still only go every four days or so. It's miserable! Like... I used to get nervous if I didn't poop by like 8am every morning!

Also I forgot to mention that I literally had a dream last night that I was at the pharmacy weighing my options for poop helping meds. That's how much this stresses me out.

Being backed up isn't new for me...here are some things that sometimes help. My doctor always stresses how important it is for me to eat a yogurt a day. If you can drink coffee, that always helped me in the past. Unfortunately even the smell of coffee makes me sick at the moment. I try to sip hot water with lemon or tea to get some sort of hot beverage in. I started snacking on wheat thins each day since they've been in the snack room at work, those help me as does eating pickles. I've also been trying to enjoy some pears. When all fails after a couple days, I cave and take a stool softener. I'm also a firm believer in acupuncture helping many ailments. I went yesterday and had some relief last night!

I started taking fiber gummies a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't make me as regular as I once was but I'm no longer spending a great deal of time trying to remember the last time I pooped.

I'm a poop camel when I'm not pregnant, so this is just annoying. I drink a green smoothie every morning, and it does nothing for me. Psyllium makes me throw up every time. Eating prunes helps - the soft kind in a jar. Thankfully I actually like them, but I can't remember to eat them every day. I'm on day three of no poop - but man do I stink with the gas.

Well, I was told by my doctor that citrucel is fine and to follow the directions. So I did. I hadn't gone in like three days and I Was getting worried. So Friday rolled around and I took one dose. Took another Saturday. It's now been five days since I was able to go. I spent a good chunk of Sunday in the bathroom...but I no longer had a problem. So this will fix the problem, but be ready for it lol.
I took Miralax a few times last month. Now I eat raisin bran every morning. I add fiber powder to smoothies and take fiber capsules occasionally to keep things moving. Being backed up sucks. Good luck!
I had this problem earlier this week. Mexican food finally solved my problem before I turned to the stool softeners (or maybe all the DanActive and Fiber One bars finally caught up with me). My husband convinced me to drink (eat?) a DanActive daily. It seems to be helping keep things more regular.

I don't have the book with the recipe anymore. DH reminded me that I gave it to his friend when he found out his wife was diabetic because it had a diabetes section. Sorry! :-(

We use miralax in my house.. Mix it with some juice. If it doesn't work in the first day or so I up the dosage a little bit. It's even gentle enough you can take it daily if you need to. I also give it to DS when he is having trouble.
