I have a giant giant bruise on my tailbone that is from all of the chiropractor stuff but I really don't want to tell the Chiro because I am scared she will not do the stuff she has been doing if she knows it's bruising me. lol
@pugsandwine , Why are you still working? Go home!! Rest!
Because at this point, every day I take off pre-baby is taken directly from my paid maternity leave after baby... so I want to work until I absolutely can't. I'm leaving at 2pm today - so it's really not so bad.
I don't like Krispy Kreme donuts and think traditional mom&pop shop donuts are so much better. I would go out of my way for a mom&pop donut even if there were a Krispy Kreme right in front of me.
This post brought to you by the coworker who legit just complained because the donuts I brought in for the entire office were not from Krispy Kreme.

I totally get it. But it sucks. Family leave sucks so hard in our country. I hate that moms feel almost forced to work so they don't lose bonding time with their newborns.

I am more worried about the actual delivery/pushing than caring for the baby himself. I'm really not nervous about the actual baby care at all. I'm hoping it will stay that way.
I'm also tired of people saying how their baby acted or was and assuming my baby will be the same (if that makes sense). I understand that it's all they have to relate to, but not all babies are the same.

I completely agree. Krispy Kreme is way too heavy.

I agree - though I count myself as someone who shouldn't/can't complain. Our benefits are wonderful here and my 12 weeks are 100% paid - which is unheard of in so many companies across the U.S.
My leave just pulls from my bank of PTO after 8 weeks, so, when I return I'll have something like 3 or 4 pto days off left for the year... Which is very very few for a seven month period. Either that, or I'll have to take a few unpaid days during leave/shorten my leave.
But again, I get so so much more than many women and families do. I feel very blessed. But, yeah, I'm going to work until I pop if I can help it.
I feel much worse for the majority of women who can't take the full 12 weeks due to not being paid.

In my A14 group I UO-ed yesterday that I don't mind when people refer to maternity leave as vacation because I am really looking forward to 12 weeks off of work and to me it seems like a vacation (and I sort of plan on treating it that way, we are hoping to go on a trip or two if we can). I was inundated with comments about terrible family leave situations and I felt awful. I really am so, so lucky.
Remember a few weeks ago how I was all like "ZOMG PLEASE DON'T LET MY WATERS BREAK IN PUBLIC?!"
Yeah, I'd so much prefer that, now. I would rather have a huge gush in the middle of a grocery store than the "is this it!!!!"s I've been having over every single contraction, trip to the bathroom, etc. Give me a clear-cut sign!

My friend texted me a picture of the sausage, egg and cheese bagel sandwich she was eating and I almost ate my phone. I already had a bagel for breakfast but dam it now I want one with yummy goodness inside.
My FFFC: my mom took my DDs to her house because we are having insulation put in our whole house today/tomorrow. I should be using this time to clean/organize/laundry/etc... but I'm sitting on the couch with my feet up. I'm totally using the fact that I'm 38 1/2 weeks pregnant as an excuse.

My autistic 3 year old started ABA therapy this week. I can't tell you how much I enjoy someone else coming into the house and playing and working with my child for 3 hours every day. It's been so nice! Mondays and Fridays next week he will go to their clinic and I will have 4 blissful hours alone. Time to even get my hair done...
I just feel guilty because I should be playing and working with him, but my energy is just so far gone and this is what he needs. ABA can do them so much good and I can't wait to see how he improves!

I didn't want to spend very much on a monitor but wanted video so I bought basically the cheapest one Amazon offered. I wondered why it was so cheap when the specs were so good. Then it arrived and my question was answered..
DH: "WTF is that?? Did you go to a baby antique store??"

We also bought a cheap video monitor when DS2 was a baby and it looks very similar. Takes up so much room on my nightstand lol.

I have 2 today!
1-I have been all misty eyed after ordering Evie's first doll. It looks exactly like a doll that my great grandma had sewn for me as a little girl.
2-I accidentally ate an entire whopper sandwhich last night. I have never had a whole one. I ordered it so I could share it with DH but ended up eating it all. I am a little ashamed, I had to go back and buy a burger for DH.

I just busted out laughing so incredibly hard. OMG.

Omg! I have never seen one like that. It's actually kind of cool lol
