This is in their new TOU:



"If you submit or post any materials or content to the Site, you grant us and our business partners a royalty free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferrable, assignable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to use such materials and content, including alterations thereof, for our business purposes, in any form, in any media, and via any technology we choose, whether it exists now or is created in the future. You represent that any materials and content posted or otherwise submitted by you to the Site is original to you and that you have the right to grant us these rights."



It basically sounds like they can use pictures of you and / or your kids however they want, wherever they want, whenever they want. If you've been on the fence about deleting your content, now might be a good time to take the plunge.

This is not the reason I had a no picture rule, but it's making me grateful for sticking to it. They are ridiculous.

I promise I'm not defending them, but this is pretty standard on social media sites these days. It's scary how little we all truly understand about what can/is happening with our information. Here is a quote from the ProBoards TOS that you can find by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page:

Dumb question - how do I delete my account/content from TB?

When we came to this new forum, I decided to host all of my images on Flickr and just link them as needed-I wish I had thought to do that on the Dump because it would have made account deletion a moot point for me. As it is, I'm now really, really glad I got my stuff deleted a couple of weeks ago

I've read the Flickr terms of service and they seem reasonable-I hope that really is the case!

I'm sure it is fairly standard to have similar words, but I also know first and that TD will use your user name and attach it to quotes you didn't make. I think they are shady as hell, and my AE posted this on TTGP. That is a garbage site for many reasons, and I think people should know.
