I just did our two week meal plan in prep for a big shopping trip after church. I only meal plan for dinner, we keep breakfast and sandwich items on hand.
Here is what we have planned:
Gyros (I buy a frozen meal kit from Aldi that is pretty good) Cilantro Lime Chicken Tacos (Click here for recipe.) This is a new recipe from Pinterest so I don't know if it is any good Meatloaf Pork Chops Spag. with homemade meat sauce Potato Soup (Bear Creek Cheesey Potato) and sandwiches Steaks Season Chicken Breasts Plus a few nights of leftovers, pizza and going out.
We live at ILs right now so MIL usually cooks but I try to do something of our own (less fat, grease, more veggies) 2-3 times per week.
I have to grocery shop later but I'm thinking:
- Sauteed tofu and veggies (we always do this at least once per week) - Turkey meatloaf and sweet potatoes - Black bean spaghetti with red sauce and shredded veggies
-Pork potstickers with veggie fried rice -Spicy Chicken Tender Salad -Lemon Garlic Orzo Soup sooo good -Cafe Rio Chicken-soooo good -Breakfast for dinner

Monday- DH is on dinner duty while I have a meeting, so I'm guessing we'll be eating junk Tuesday- baked cheesy chicken bake Thursday-homemade pizza bread Friday- lemon garlic chicken & roasted red potatoes Saturday- fettuccine Alfredo Sunday- tacos
Tonight is linguini with "rigatoni" sauce. The sauce is tomatoe based with fire roated tomatoes, sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms, tiny meatballs and fried pepperoni.
Later this week we will have:
- baked fish with rice and brocolli - chicken legs with roasted baby potatoes and carrots - french toast with fruit and possibly breakfast meat

Last night: egg, cheese, avocado sandwich on a bagel Monday: tacos with ground turkey Tues: Greek marinated chicken with rice Wed: I have a massage appt so whatever Thurs: ranch pork chops Fri: tuna noodle casserole Sat: take out or if we're feeling cheap pasta with butter
Man, you guys are so good with your meal planning - for everyday of the week?? I'm lucky to have 2 or 3 ideas for the week, which is probably why we eat out so much.
All I have for this week are sticky sesame cauliflower and tofu sushi rolls (and maybe spicy tuna too). And I keep saying I'll make fish vindaloo but keep putting that off.

All I have for this week are sticky sesame cauliflower and tofu sushi rolls (and maybe spicy tuna too). And I keep saying I'll make fish vindaloo but keep putting that off.
I sit down at some point during the weekend and come up with a list of stuff that sounds good, then I do a shopping list of staples of what we need plus what we need for our dinners.
The meal planning takes WAY less time than the grocery store. I can have the meal plans and list done in under 30 minutes in most cases but it takes me two hours to do the grocery shopping (I make two stops).
We recently bought an upright deep freeze for our garage so I have space to shop for two weeks of food at once.
We just started meal planning a month or two ago. It sounds like a pain but it's actually a lot less work on a daily basis. I'm trying a crockpot honey garlic chicken recipe this week from damndelicious.net - hoping it's as good as it sounds!

I'm the opposite! Takes me an hour to come up with my list for the week but then I book it through the grocery store in 20 minutes lol
I try to meal plan a month out. Leave a few nights for leftovers and you can adjust as your plans change. In the long run we save money because I can buy meat on sale and hold on to it until I need it. And I go to the grocery store less often. When I don't.. it gets expensive and we have more junk to snack on.
