Okay, so I found $100 in an old wallet today.i refuse to buy more maternity clothes. I was thinking about makeup. I wear nothing as of now.
What are your basic go to's for work/everyday makeup. The more natural looking the better. I'm not going to be wearing any liquid eyeliner and smokey eye anytime soon.
So this is my most days set up. And yes I did already have this picture on my phone for no reason in particular. Haha. What were you thinking of starting to wear? Like basic coverup and mascara? I like insanely cheap eyeliner because I go through it like water, but I think decent mascara, coverup, and eyeshadow is always worth it.

I would recommend a tinted BB cream to even skin tone, concealer for under eyes if you deal with circles, a blush or bronzer (don't get anything with sparkle - not a daytime look and they tend to showcase fine lines), a neutral eyeshadow palette with 2-4 colors, mascara, and a lip color (stick/balm/gloss, whatever you prefer) and a setting powder because if you are like me, I HATE maintenance throughout the day. I can help with brands or recs if you would like!
I wear the bare minimum, concealer, mascara, lip balm and that's it. I have bad under eye circles thanks to allergies but I use Benefit Boing concealer and it takes care of them perfectly!

I wear BB cream (nothing special. Aveeno. It's nice), I have bare minerals for real makeup but I hardly use it. I wear mascara (the pink and green from the drug store), espresso eyeliner, bare minerals blush, nude eyeshadows, and I have a smattering of lipstick and gloss. I regular day where I wear "makeup" is usually BB cream, mascara, and lipgloss.

I use BB cream, concealer, and I have some mascara and eyeliner but don't use them very often. I actually signed up for an Ipsy bag subscription for about 5 or 6 months and found a lot of new products that I like. They sent me enough eyeliner and eye shadow to last me for years. I think it was actually a pretty good investment but I wouldn't want to get Ipsy forever since I am not a huge makeup person.
I wear cover girl dream mat mousse concealer, and mascara (just whatever pharmacy brand is on sale lol) as a minimum. If I'm being fanceh I'll fill in my brows a bit and put some neutral eyeshadow one but this is not often. I figure the kids I teach don't give a crap what I look like lol. Or maybe I just don't care if they care lol.
madamewaffles I have a BB creme, some random brand from target. I felt like it was a mess by the end of the work day. Is that what you mean by a powder to set it?

I also sweat a lot. Like...a lot lol.
Recommend all the things!
2 things I don't skimp on are my foundation (or BB), and setting powder. Everything else I have drugstore versions of.
I like Tarte brand BB. It is quite dense, so if I am looking for something not so heavy, I mix in a little moisturizer.
With sweat and oil (I have combination skin, so I feel ya), look for a setting powder that contains silicone as that absorbs moisture like whoa. My current brand that just got is by Laura Mercier (Translucent Setting Powder, I think it's called). It's an investment for $38 but I bought the container about 4 months ago and I'm barely halfway through it. It does keep everything in place!
Drugstore mascara: L'Oreal Voluminous Drugstore blush: Sonia Kashuk Creme Blush (OMGZ so creamy and so easy to blend) Drugstore bronzer: Lorac Tantalizer Baked Bronzer Drugstore Lip Color: NYX Color Lip Balm
Boutique mascara: Urban Decay Perversion Boutique blush/bronzer: Urban Decay Naked Flushed (this is nice because it is a palette with both bronzer and blush) OR Nars Cheek Studio (another blush/bronzer duo palette) Boutique lips: Buxom makes deliciously awesome lip color with lots of textures. I hate sticky feeling, so I like their liquid lipstick that is very creamy.
Thanks everyone! Whenever I start to think about buying makeup, I usually stand in front of the selections and panic. Then I just walk away. No clue what the hell I'm doing.
Going to start with the basics and move from there

I'm very similar to this. My foundation is Bare Minerals but everything else is Mary Kay for me, including my CC cream (which is similar to the BB cream I think). I've used the Aveeno kind before too and really liked it. But I am pretty neutral with colors and don't do eyeliner, pretty basic here!
