When is your appt? Wed 2/24
How far along will you be? 11+2
What type of appt is it? They call this one "the big one." If I remember correctly, we go over my health history and do a full exam and talk a lot.
Will you ask any questions? I have a bunch of questions. My biggest one is regarding exercise because I would like to start running again when the weather gets warmer. I also want to make sure I can still take care of the chickens while pregnant.
When is your appt? Monday at 2:30. I finally get to participate!
How far along will you be? 8+5
What type of appt is it? First nurse's appointment.
Will you ask any questions? Just going to convince them to give me a dating ultrasound. Otherwise they assume it's cycle day 14 (charting says it was day 18) and I do NOT want to be induced again.
When is your appointment: tomorrow afternoon (2/22) How far along will you be: 9w5d What type of appointment: Dating ultrasound Will you ask any questions: Can't really think of any right now.

This was my OB, although she won't induce until 42 weeks she says. But yea, I told her I was 8w5d and she said going by LMP I was 9w3d and I told her yes, that's true but I don't have 28 day cycles and I don't ovulate on day 14. My cycle is usually more like 33/34 with an 11-12 day LP and O on CD21 is average. It was like a 45 second conversation and she said "We'll just go ahead and do a dating ultrasound. That way we can also confirm there's only one little one in there".
Funny enough, this was before I decided to do the genetic screening, so now I have an ultrasound tomorrow (just before 10w) and another at 12 weeks. And then we'll have to go forever before we see the little bean again.
pismoduo I hope that's all it takes me to convince them tomorrow... I'm not always so good at being assertive. Glad you get to see your little one again soon!

Worst case scenario just waffle and say you're not really sure when your period was.

I might have to try that!
I told my dr I didn't have a 28 day cycle and they listened. The due date they ended up giving me was only 1 day off from my FertilityFriend ovulation based due date. I would hope your dr would be willing to listen to you.
I ovulated day 28! Put your foot down - it's so important and it's kind of ridiculous they even assume women have a 28 day cycle with a day 14 ovulation when we know how uncommon that really is.

I think it's because so many women are clueless about their cycles/fertility. Unfortunately it means that those of us who educate ourselves aren't taken seriously.
How far along will you be? 12 weeks - hello second tri (I'm going with 12 weeks in hopes my mind can convince my body that it should be done with morning sickness and all the first tri awfulness!)
What type of appt is it? NT scan on 2/25 and then my monthly Dr appointment on 2/26. She will look for heartbeat on Friday but hopefully we will already have seen it Thursday.
Will you ask any questions? Everything depends on how the scan goes..
Will you ask any questions? I am getting the crud, stuff nose, sore throat and all that jazz so I will be asking what I can do for some relief. I will also be getting a flu shot tomorrow, yay. Let's hope that doesn't make me feel worse.
My in laws want to go crib shopping tomorrow after the appointment so that is exciting.
What type of appt is it? Blood work and possibly another ultrasound.
Will you ask any questions? I'm going to ask what I'm allowed to take for heartburn besides tums because I can't remember from when I was pregnant with DS. It's killing me already, which sucks because it didn't start until probably 35ish weeks with DS.

Hi due date twinsie. I had really bad heartburn my last pregnancy that lasted the entire time. I lived on those Tums breath mints. This time I had heartburn start up right away and I said, fuck this, I am not doing this again. My OB said I could take OTC heartburn meds like Prilosec or the generic Omeprazole. It is really working well for me and I definitely recommend it. I only have heartburn when I forget to take it for a few days.

When is your appt? Today
How far along will you be? 10w6d
What type of appt is it? 2nd appt, should only take 15 minutes. Just dropping off my pee and finding out how much I gained.
Will you ask any questions? Not really. I asked a question via email that the nurse I am meeting with instead of my OB (he's on vacation) wanted to discuss with me in person. I am taking 6000 IU of Vitamin D3 to supplement my kid through my BM. There are studies that show that women who take high doses of Vitamin D while pregnant have a lower risk of developing GD, preeclampsia, and others. The studies were done at a dose of 4000, so I wanted to know if I could still take the 6000 that I need for my outside baby. She didn't really know and just wanted to know why I couldn't give an oral supplement to DD.
Also, I am really looking for a midwife and not really interested in continuing with my OB. I am not sure I'll ask anything else.
Got the official referral, and I'll be seen by the high risk doctors starting at 16 weeks, and will start receiving weekly progesterone shots. Woohoo. :/ But it will be worth it if I can carry this kid as close to term as possible.

I agree - I should have been clearer. I think it's fine to use as a working assumption when there is no other data to go with. I think it is CRAZY to stick rigidly to it in the face of other evidence and especially to make decisions like induction (with its corresponding flow ons - higher rates of intervention and instrumental delivery etc) based on that assumption.
And now I have a dating ultrasound on Wednesday at 1045. Today's appt was fine. Took bp and weight. Agreed to nt scan etc. We even thought we may have caught a hb on the doppler but it was a blip and disappeared too fast to be sure.

My OB said that prior to 9 weeks it's normal not to be able to find the HB consistently or at all, so not to be worried if we didn't find it last week (when I was 8w5d).

When is your appt? 2/25
How far along will you be? 12 weeks exactly
What type of appt is it? NT scan I didn't do one last time, so I don't know exactly what to expect other than seeing baby and a blood test I think.
Will you ask any questions? Other than "what do I do" probably not. I'm not even sure if I'll see a doctor. I didn't during the anatomy scan last time.
After all that worrying they scheduled me an ultrasound no problem. It's next Monday. Other than that we just went over my history and I gave lots of blood.

Yea, that's about how my first appointment went too. Glad they scheduled it for you!
What type of appt is it? Just a quick doppler heartbeat check due to my loss history. I'm so nervous that it's so early that she won't be able to find it. I know she'll do an u/s if that's the case but my anxiety may be unmanageable. Ugh and I have to bring my toddler.
Will you ask any questions? Nope maybe just whether I should be doing the free cell DNA test.

Mine said the same she just wanted to try for fun.
