1. 35 weeks pregnant with a baby girl!
2. My midwife (she's the best!) called me to give me updates from my ultrasound and bloodwork on Friday even though I have an appointment tomorrow. From now on I'm in weekly.
Highlights: Fibroid has barely grown and moved out of the way which means that it's not expected to cause any complications or a C-section. Cervix looks beautiful (why do they describe it like that!?!) and baby is estimated at 5.5 lbs. My iron is pretty low so I'm taking Feramax in addition to a prenatal.
3. C is sick. She's in quarantine at home right now and not allowed near me. I think she'll be joining in via FaceTime for the midwife appointment tomorrow.
I've been put on modified work, no standing for more than 3 hours and a break every three hours. This mostly stems from my GD and needing time through the day to eat and take my blood sugar and also from some RLP and Sciatica that I've been experiencing.
Little Lady is almost here and we still haven't picked a name....oh well, she won't be nameless forever.

I love the things you're looking forward to! I've enjoyed Brie a couple times already! Here's a dish that's really good and combines a few items on your list- dice juicy tomatoes and fresh garlic, chunks of Brie, and chopped fresh basil. Mix it all together and add a little olive oil. Let marinade over night. Serve on rotini pasta with bread for dipping. Let the pasta cool a little bit so you still have some chunks of Brie.

I'm up to 24.5 weeks now with girl #2 (first pregnancy for me though). I think we have a name picked out, and the grandparents keep asking M and tonight I witnessed her answering correctly (we've run many by her). But they couldn't understand her in toddler speak. Only a matter of time.
Feeling so-so. Threw up my breakfast the other day for no reason. Starting to feel large and like I need to get moving more or I'm gonna turn into stone. Lots of kicks and some annoying heartburn.
Looking forward to feeling normal. I'm so sick of feeling like crap. And exercise. I know I could work out more but i'm paranoid, and tired, and feel like crap.

@suesposa - I'm still below by pre-pregnancy weight and nobody seems to care; I was concerned for a while but I've given up after months of reassurance. You're not alone but I know it's a weird feeling. Happy the little man is growing well, that u/s pic is adorable!
Stringy Sorry you're feeling crappy! I admire that you're not exercising because you are paranoid, and tired and feel crappy because TBH I'm just not exercising because I'm too lazy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hello! I feel like I'm out of weird infertility brain limbo and I would love to be added to the check in list. Due date is October 4th.
1. This is our second baby but my first time carrying. We are currently 8w2d.
2. Appointment Updates: we've had two ultrasounds with our RE. The first was unable to capture the heartbeat on the Doppler but we could see or flicker so we needed to come back. Our first appointment is with our midwives (who delivered H) on March 2nd.
3. Right now only symptoms include wanting to eat everything, so tired I feel drunk, and a little nausea. Oh and I'm a little moody and less patient...I'm sure others would say A LOT moody but I'm doing my best :-).
I hope some newbies join us soon. We have a lot of August babies and then radio silence until October for us...ill be so lonely!
QOTW: I'm sure this will change as I progress but right now I'm looking forward to buckets of Diet Coke and piles of sushi...
2.We had an OB appt and ultrasound this past Thursday. Both boys look great, and are weighing in at an estimated 2.57 and 2.77 lbs. The ultrasound tech was a student, so the pictures were pretty crummy, but everything else looked good. Cervix measured and a long and tightly closed 4cm, so it doesn't appear I'll be having them in the next few weeks at least.
3. Apparently really bad heartburn induces vomitting. I've never had bad heartburn, and up until a few days ago I hadn't done any vomitting while pregnant. That streak is over...so small, bland meals for this mama!
We are having 2 baby showers, each hosted by amazing friends. The first one is this Saturday, followed by childbirthing class on Sunday. Part of me can't believe its time already, the other part of me can't believe we have so far left to go. When we first scheduled the shower, my mom threw a fit saying that 29 weeks was FAR too early to have a baby shower and that I wouldn't even look decently pregnant by then. Joke is on her. I'm HUGE.
In other AMAZING news, my OB has cleared me to use our hot tub. I'm seriously stunned, but my back is incredibly thankful. He said as long as the soaks are kept to a brief 20 minutes or so and we don't turn all the jets on, he's not at all concerned about the temperature (102) at this stage, and he thinks the pain relieving benefits outweigh any potential risk at this point. YAY!
QOTW: Rare steak, all the good cheeses, and falling asleep without being in horrible pain.
Confession: We're far enough in that I've decided to enjoy an occasional glass of wine, with my doctor's permission. I'm keeping them small - 6oz at most, and limiting it to about once a week. I'll be looking forward to that second glass post partum though!
It is- a treat. Let me know if you want more specific amounts. Great with summer tomatoes.
That would be awesome!
Here you go- 3/4 lb. brie broken up into pieces with the casing removed 3 cloves garlic chopped A bunch of basil chopped Up to 3/4 cup olive oil (depends on how juicy the tomatoes are. I usually don't like to use too much) 3 medium to large tomatoes
1/2 box rotini pasta
Let this marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Sit on the counter while pasta is cooking (maybe longer). Allow pasta to cool a bit then add the brie, tomatoes, etc. Still well. Some of the brie will melt and some will stay chunky. Serve with bread for dipping.

firstcomeslove2013 - October 4th is J's and my dating anniversary. This year will be 12 years. Great day to have a baby in my humble opinion!
crazyaunt84 - I had killer heartburn with both pregnancies. The kind that induced vomit. I ended up on nexium both times, and it made a huge difference. My OB assured me the nexium was completely safe. For me it was a quality of life issue to be able to eat and not vomit daily (especially because it ended up that water turned out to be my biggest trigger to vomit, and so I was avoiding water and that wasn't good either). Anyway, if it continues for you, you might consider talking to your OB about medication. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. Feel better!
Mid wife appt today. I had to miss it because I needed to get some time in at work today. Everything looks good. M hasn't gained much weight (1-2 pounds) but no one seems concerned. Next month we get another ultrasound!
I know M is tired. She seems over the early pregnancy tiredness and it's hard to tell if it's because of O being up or due to the pregnancy. I'm a little worried about where M's head is with this pregnancy. She's still really focused on O. Maybe that's normal, she is the kiddo in front of us everyday after all.
QOTW: I'll answer for M as I'm fairly confident of this. She wants to run Goofy's Challenge again in Disney when she turns 40, so in 2 years. I'm looking forward to baby-wearing the new squish!
Had a midwife appointment on Tuesday. Still measuring two weeks ahead, and got the requisition for the GD test, I'm going to go tomorrow morning.
I have a sore throat and stuffed up nose... seriously, where does all that mucus come from when you're pregnant?! H. has been coughing like a coal miner for the past month, I hope this bug passes without hitting me too hard.
QOTW: I am looking forward to red wine and sleeping on my back, in general being comfortable will be nice.
No appointments until mid March so I'm hoping I can get the Doppler to work. No luck so far.
I had a couple of good days after starting nexium and Zofran, but then I caught some sort of bug on Monday and have been pretty miserable since. Hopefully the worst is over. Now I just have to win the battle with insurance over Zofran. 15 pills will not last a month.
QOTW: Wine and Brie for sure. Yummy. And steak. And lunch meat. And runny eggs. Ok, maybe just all the food.
