Where are all the 9-12 month clothes?

Is anyone noticing there seems to be a gap in clothing sizes? Take Carters for example...Newborn, 3-6, 6-9, 12-18?  DS is in 6-9 clothing now and I'm really having a hard time finding sleepers that won't drown him for the next 3 months. Am I missing something or are you ladies having the same problem?

I did go to Old Navy over the weekend and their sizes run 3-6 then 6-12 but the selection is small, and they looked small (like maybe he would fit in them now, but not for long). I've gone on Amazon and Zulilly and it is the same thing, hardly anything in the 9-12 month range...I don't get it! 

Also why the f*&^ are stores getting rid of baby winter clothing in January! It is f*&%in cold and I need warm clothes to dress my baby in! Who in there right mind is buying shorts for a baby (who grows like a weed) when it is 2 degrees outside?

I have also thought that 6-12 months is too broad of a size range. DD is in that funky gap where 3-6 is like spandex but swimming in the next size.
Try looking at Old Navy online. I've found the stores don't carry much and the selection is way better online. Old Navy and Gap seems to fit DD the best. Carter's is so hit and miss. Some stuff is long and skinny, but other stuff is way big and she can still fit into 0-3 months. We were gifted mostly Carter's stuff, but some stuff won't work with the seasons since the sizing is so off.
Basically I'm no help, but I sympathize.

I've had luck at places like Ross, TJ and Nordstrom rack because they have random brands and I've seen 9mon things there. I've started to buy LO 12-18mon clothes since he's growing out of stuff so fast that it's not worth getting more 9 mon things

I have mostly hand me downs, but I have 9-12 month clothes for Carters.

I am also pissed that you can't get winter clothes anymore. DD1 lost her mittens and every store is now selling spring, summer stuff, no winter clothes. I also wanted to get a snowsuit for DD2 and there is nothing!

YES! I've been meaning to post about this for days, but I thought I was stupidly missing something! 6-12 is so broad an my LO fits some now and she's only 5 months!

I wondered the same thing. It's hard to find 9-12mo.

I have some 6-12mo that is so broad that the pants won't stay up, yet he isn't swimming in them. My kid is a pork chop so I can't imagine average sized kids wearing 6-12mos.

Gap runs really big too- as in way bigger than other 6-12mo.

I just moved DD up to 6 month clothes. All the carter's stuff I've seen is NB/3/6/9/12. If it's their off brand sold at Target (just for you??) I've seen teh 3-6 and 6-9 which is annoying.

At 5.5 months DD could still wear 3M onsies, but we've been in the 6M footed sleepers for a while.

Carters goes NB, 0-3(3), 3-6(6), 6-9(9), 9-12(12), 12-18(18). The clothes labeled 12 are 9-12.

Hummm! I guess I'm just not finding them. You are right though I forgot they do just have the single numbers 3, 6,9, but I literally have not found a single 12. Just 12-18 (not just 18 either).

DS is wearing 9 month carters sleepers and 9 month pekkle ? I think that's what they are called from Costco.

If you are in the Carter's store, look in the toddler/kid section. They move it over there at 12 mos I've found.

We're up to 12 mo. in everything, and like PP stated, I find most clothes in the toddler sections rather than baby. I really have to get to putting away the small clothes, it's sad how many outfits were only worn MAYBE once or twice.

Kickee pants brand runs small. They do have 6-12 months in size but they seem closer to the 6 month sizing then 12 months. They are a little pricey but well made and cute clothes!

The children's place has 9-12 but LO has been in that since 4 months. Shit is tight. According to their warning labels it's supposed to be tight bc if it's loose its more likely to catch fire. I for one love those warnings on baby clothes ( insert eye roll here )

Lol at "a little" pricy. I shop some Hanna Andersson and Tea Collection but Kickee pants is too rich for my blood. I do love how soft their material is, though.

I don't really mind DS wearing "too big" clothing. I'd rather him get more use out of it. So far he hasn't complained about what I've dressed him in.

DH made a comment about this too. Something like "if the only thing separating you from fire is clothing... You're screwed no matter what"
