We've had appointments all week so today is the last one. Then no more until Wednesday. And hopefully that will be the last appointment until April.
I'm up feeding DS right now. It was a rough beginning to the night because his lip is sore from the clipping yesterday. I wasn't sure if he'd actually fall asleep tonight. But we managed to get a couple hours in. I still think I'm going to be in a zombie like state later today though. Bring on the iced cappuccinos!
I've been getting all these Braxton Hicks especially at work. They go away when I rest. I know I should mention them today at my appt, but I am afraid of being taken off work.
KJ is being anti leaving the house today. I get it because we've had a busy week. We've been gone every day this week but I need her to be willing today since we won't even be home until after 2. A is still sleeping since she woke up a couple times last night. Between teeth and her shots she is so miserable. She laid on my lap most of the evening and cried whenever I had to put her down.
jamjoyful we're dealing with shots too. Poor kiddo seems miserable and he too just wants to be held and snuggled- so against his usual personality. He also had no interest in food this morning but drank a TON of water. Then he threw it right back up. I sent him to daycare but I'm fully expecting a phone call before long.
DS threw a massive fit last night about going to church with DH. I finally reminded him that he brings treats next week and would get the treat bucket this week. I pulled the "I need your help to get the bucket so I know how many treats to bring. Can you help me?" Worked like a charm. He stopped freaking out and happily went.
We stayed home all day yesterday. DD wanted to go somewhere so bad. She kept asking for her shoes and coat. Today she will get to go somewhere as we have a busy morning.
I woke up to Nora having unzipped her pajamas halfway and getting her arm out. She was proud. I was laughing. A good time was had by all.
After lunch, we're going to MIL's. And then I'm getting my mullet trimmed. I think it's long enough now to be in a short Bob. I'm so excited to be done with mullets.
Oh! And my cousin is still on the "whatever you want is free" bandwagon. We will pay him in beer and throw money in his house at random times when he's not looking. So now we need to flag out general area and get a perc test done. Woot!

I got a lot of BH with C. A LOT. They just told me to drink a lot of water and rest. No harm was ever done. I worked through them, no problem. You should def mention them at your appointment, I doubt they'd pull you out of work.
H said last night that he thinks we should turn A around to forward facing car seat when DS2 comes. He'll be 20ish months. I insisted we wait until 2 years and he seemed to think it would be "safer" if we did since there's not a ton of front to back room in the car. I have a feeling this is going to be an issue when the time comes. I want to rear face until at LEAST 2, possibly 2.5.

We had this argument too just because DH drives a tiny car and we weren't sure rear facing two kids was possible. Our compromise was that if we found a seat that would work RFing behind the driver's seat of his car we would do it. We went to BBB and found one so now it is a non-issue!
Funny enough my husband was opposed to FFing before 2 as was I, the argument was whether or not he should get a new car because of it :-P
It's actually only the law to RF to 2 in California, Oklahoma, and New Jersey. Many states have proposed changes, but they haven't passed or passed yet. Unfortunately the law is really slow to catch up to what the AAP now recommends. It's a struggle to convince a lot of parents and grandparents that just because it's the law, it doesn't mean it's the safest.
So we might be renovating our bathroom this summer. H asked MIL how much it would cost to stay in a hotel for a couple weeks. MIL will be in her own place then. And offered to let us stay there. Her place will be 10 minutes outside town. She was like "and since you have a car, you can drive [ H ] to work every morning!" I told H there was no fucking way we're staying with her. It will be a much smaller space and she's already driving me crazy in our 2 storey house. By June I'll be so ready for a nice long break from her. He agreed that it wouldn't work.

Yeah that has always confused me. There are lots of things that aren't illegal but we all know are terrible ideas, right? Why do people get so hung up on that?

I just don't get why people think it's such an inconvenience to rear face? For the most part, kids don't know the difference at that age. I think it's odd.

My child is miserable in the car, has been since day one. It's a constant battle with my husband why we are not turning him around yet.
This morning has not panned out at all. A is a wreck and I just got her calm. I haven't even had time to shower because it's a meltdown if I move.
Oh no! FX she calms down soon so you can get on with your busy morning!
Thanks. We are down to periodic meltdowns. Apparently, she needs a clean cup filled up every hour and you can use the same cup she just had for a refill.
