Andrea did you mean belly button? Mine never popped with DD, just got....weird and flat. But I'm wondering if it's going to pop this time...my belly is different and I'm already bigger than I was at 29 weeks with DD....
woodengirl07 it's your dream job! Definitely worth trying and I have my fingers and toes crossed for you! Also hope your glucose test goes well/passes quickly
csat I don't go on my scale anymore. The monthly weight at the OB is enough for me Also pregnancy constipation sucks. I empathize.
shoogars I'm so jealous of your weather/temperature. You're not a witch though. I also empathize with complainy husbands. I hope he gets over it quickly. My H was complaining for 4 days how sore his LEGS were. From playing LASER TAG. Stfu. And massage my PREGNANT BABY TOTING legs. Plzkthx.
Anyone else's belly but to starting to lose the fight against the baby? My started to look kinda funky this week. I have a feeling it may be popping out in the next few weeks! ?
Yes! Also my belly button is almost totally flat now. I'm expecting an outtie soon.
I was just thinking about posting about belly buttons! Mine popped to an outie at about 30 weeks during my first pregnancy and it didn't really ever quite go back to being an innie the way it used to be. It popped out again about 5 weeks ago, but now it is just ridiculously far out there. I tried on some new shirts today and you can see my belly button in every single one. I'm trying to look professional in my clothes, but my belly button has other ideas!
How is June so close?! There's only like 16 weekends until my due date. And a bunch of those weekends are accounted for already. RIP days of sleeping in and being lazy.

Eek... I was trying to calculate how much I need to knit each day to finish the baby blanket I'm making because I've been lazy about it lately. It is a little scary to think how close it is getting. I'm legitimately worried about how I am going to deal with the lack of sleep. Ten hours is my natural wake up time. Getting up every few hours is not going to agree with me at all...

Agree, DH and I were just talking about that! We have 14 weekends left and do much to do. He's afraid if she's early we'll be no where near ready.

vivela, That is my biggest new-mom worry by about ten times the next-biggest. I barely function on even reduced sleep, how am I going to parent on practically none?
I know, it's crazy how soon June is coming! The Spring weather here is reminding me of that! 13 weekends until my due date-eek! Since it's my second baby, I don't have a lot to do since we have a nursery and most baby stuff, but I have a ton of house and yard things I want to get done before she gets here.

You get used to it. DH and I were both 9 hours per night people before DS. And we'd sleep in on weekends. Now we survive on closer to 6 and while we are tired it's doable.

We are at the track for a test day today then headed to an mls game tonight. Tomorrow will be church and maybe a bike ride after. I have to work about 4 more hours this weekend so I'm thinking that will be tomorrow afternoon.
I was getting a little frustrated with DH because he left me with the kids to go "work"...as he does a lot on weekends. However, today he was gone practically all day as opposed to just a couple of hours. But...he came home with a new dishwasher!!! Yay! We've been hand washing for ages! And he got a great deal too:)

My belly button is still an innie, but the top is stretched so tight its it's sealed off like some sort of tomb. Not even lint gets in. I wonder if it will still pop out later. #bellybuttonpregnancylifecycle
Nope it was a day of torture followed by a night of crabby husband and over exhausted clingy toddler.
They are extremely "in your face" with DS which he is not used to at all. Then they like to make me feel inadequate by complaining about my cleaning, buying DS more stuff, and this trip included a "birthday party takeover attempt". I don't mind when they help buy things for DS but then don't bitch about it later when you insist. Today it was buying his "big boy bed" and then getting mad because DH and I couldn't decide on a bedroom set. We weren't ready for this step and didn't have the storage for what they did buy, they just don't understand.
DH has been in bed a half hour (it's just now 8pm here) and DS won't relax enough to sleep unless he's touching me. The dog has my spot on the bed and I'm basically preparing for a night of sleeping either in the recliner with DS or on the living room floor.
I think we're going to switch DD to her big girl bed today. And all her new big girl furniture in her room and everything.
Which will empty out the nursery and we can start it soon!
We made this switch today! I mean same room but big girl bed. I had high hopes because she's slept in a toddler bed a decent amount at my parents house. It went terribly. So many tears and fits and screaming and we caved and let her fall asleep in our bed and moved her. The only upside is that she didn't ask for her binky. I started without it but only because the nanny started telling her no binky in her bed. I even offered it after 30 minutes to get her to stay in her bed but she said no and threw it because she was so upset about being in the bed. So we went to sleep with no binky but in our bed with daddy there.
I guess the good news is that there is nowhere to go but up for us . Hope it went better for you!!
nymama917 I'm sorry it wasn't an easy transition but at least you got her to bed without the binky. Our transition was rough but totally worth it. Good luck this week!
Dh is home he got in at 2am and ds decided to wake up early at 5:30 (probably because he was excited dada would be home).
Good news for us....we moved DD to her bed without issue. She was a little wiggly in the night and whimpered a few times. Probsbly stuff I wouldn't notice in the crib but checked on her in the bed. She was great. Woke up at 5:15 and cried a little, asked for her bc not once, and then went back to sleep. At 6:30 I heard her feet pitter pattering to me (we are in a one bedroom but have a divider so we can't see each other. She came to our bed and I threw her in and she slept too 7:30. Hopefully nap and bed goes better today but at least we survived.

My belly button has been an outie for probably a month. DS is more confused about the belly button than my actual belly. If I wear a shirt that shows my belly button or we're in the shower, he just keeps asking "what's that" a million times. I tell him it's my belly button, but he doesn't believe me. He shakes his head and yells NOOOOOOO, No Mom. Like "how stupid can you be, woman, belly buttons don't look like that." I'm being body shamed by a guy who isn't even 2 years old yet. I mean, it's pretty bad when I wear baggy shirts as much as possible in order to avoid the toddler inquisition.

At the gym... Ugh. My stomach hits the water bottle holder on the elliptical, my belly gets in the way of my legs on the bike or arc trainer and the treadmill gives me such BH i want to cry. I'm in the opposite camp from most of you- i cannot believe how much longer this pregnancy is going to last. 15 weeks. Dear heaven!!!! I really want to whine.

nymama917 I'm sorry the switch didn't go as well as hoped! We were the same, same room just different furniture. DD took to her new bed right away, except we are nowhere near ready to stop the binky. She only uses it for naps and sleeping at night so I've been letting it go. It's one of those things I don't know how to approach, and I feel she isn't ready. I've read about trimming the ends, but I sort of keep hoping she'd show signs she doesn't need it. She also insists on milk in a bottle before bed still, we don't put it to bed with her and brush after it, but she won't drink it from any other vessel (despite using sippys and straws all day for everything else).
Flair Underwood I think those things are a sign! I feel pretty uncomfortable right now, so I'm with you on feeling like we all still have a long way to go!
