What type of appt is it? Regular checkup - hoping to hear the heartbeat since I don't have an ultrasound until the 20 week A/S and I'm just trusting everything is ok.
Will you ask any questions? Can't think of any right now.
What type: Well.... it's my first appointment with the midwife practice since graduating from the RE. When I first called to make the appointment, they told me it would be a pee and blood confirmation appointment only. I kindly explained AGAIN that I have already received multiple blood, urine, and ultrasound confirmations and that I have already had heartbeat confirmation as well. The receptionist was really confused. She put me on hold forever and finally came back to say that they will skip all the confirmation stuff and just have a regular first appointment. I asked what that means and she couldn't tell me. Apparently, my situation doesn't come up much for them.
TL;DR I have no idea what to expect for my appointment.

Questions: I will ask so many questions!
Hope everything goes well.
FWIW, my first appointment still had urine and blood tests, even though that same doctor had a blood test run for me a month prior. They were testing for all sorts of other stuff. So you may still have to pee in a cup and give blood.
When: Friday, 3/4, late afternoon How far along: 11w6d What type: NT Scan, blood work Questions: Mostly when we'll know the results and what the final cost is.
I had my NT scan today at 13 weeks and it went great! Baby was moving around like crazy, but they got 3 measurements and the tech said the NT looked nice and small. Heartbeat was 161 and baby is measuring right on track!
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen
My dating ultrasound went great. Baby was measuring 9+6, which is one day ahead of what I thought. Heart rate was 168. Glad that milestone is past!
Also is it rare that my OB doesn't do the NT scan? I asked about it with DD, and they said I could drive an hour away if I really wanted it done but they didn't do then routinely. I'm not in a small town either.
My appointment went well. Didn't think we were doing an ultrasound today but when I walked into the room the machine was there. Baby was moving a lot, waving it's hands and the heartbeat was good. The midwife took a profile picture and it looks like the baby's face is practically not there. I didn't notice it until we were leaving. Dh's immediate words were "do not freak out! It has a face!"

My NT test is done at this fetal diagnostics center at my hospital. They do the anatomy scan too. My doctor rarely does ultrasound. So not every office is the same. But my hospital is about a mile from his office.

My NT scan was optional so I'm not totally surprised there are drs out there that don't do them regularly.
Thanks for the NT scan input ladies. I'm not too concerned about doing it, it just seemed like most other people were getting one. I think we might do the Quad Screen testing at 16-18 weeks this time which we passed on with DD.
We had NT scan today. Baby's cord was pressing on the neck so they couldn't get a measurement. We go back on Friday to try again. Good heart beat though 173!

My OB didn't seem to have it planned for me until I said I wanted the genetic screening. But the more info I get on what my total out of pocket is going to be for the screening, the more I'm convinced my insurance is covering the NT scan itself and I'm just paying for the blood work.
So... I have no idea if we just have weird OBs or if this is becoming more common.
Will you ask any questions? Can I have another bottle of diclegis samples? I think that will get me through the worst of the nausea. When should we schedule the NT test. Do I need genetic counseling again? Will he recommend the Harmony test this time? (genetic counselors recommended it with baby #1 but he didn't think it was necessary, insurance paid so we did it anyway) I certainly wouldn't mind knowing the gender early.

Congrats on great appointments @rugus426, fem and Cocomama!
I graduated from the RE today!!! I got surprisingly emotional when I said goodbye to everyone. It's such a surreal feeling.
Baby is measuring 10 weeks and was wiggling all around!!! There may have been a little bleeding left, but it looked a lot better. As long as I'm not bleeding, I can come off bed rest, but light activity and take it easy. If I start bleeding again, back to bed rest. Last time they took me off, it lasted a whole 24 hours....so, we'll see what happens. I can also start to wean off of the PIO, estrogen patches and estrogen pills. My ass is going to be thrilled when I can stop the PIO.
