I'm GBS negative. Yay. I declined a CC. My BP was fine, but she said I have keytones in my urine and need to up my water intake. When I peed in the cup, it looked like really dark apple juice. I'm feeling really bad today, so I'm a little dehydrated. Hopefully that's the only issue. Doc wants me to rest and keep up with Tylenol to get over this cold. Drinking a large Dunkin unsweetened raspberry tea to get some fluids down.
Any questions/concerns?: Are my fluid levels still too high? Head down still? Size? Any progress made, since I'll likely be induced?
Ultrasound/cervical check?: yes and yes
How did it go?: Monday: This was my last growth scan. I've officially graduated from MFM. Woohoo! Encore is head-down, and posterior, which s/he has consistently been throughout my scans. My fluid levels have dropped down to normal (woohoo!!!) and has an estimated weight of 7lbs 1oz. So looks like another big baby for me!
Obligatory creepy u/s pic:
The tech says Encore has "cheeks for days" as well as some hair going on. I can't wait to meet him/her!!!
Wed: Will update.
I did not expect that.
Okay, so HB is in the 140s, all looks good. Got my GBS. (NBD)
Then I got my CC. My 1st cervical check. And what my Bishop score is, so I know what I'm working with here. 2 cm dilated. 50% effaced. Cervix is soft and anterior. Baby at -1. That gives me a Bishop score of 8. 8! At 36 weeks, I'm already favorable for an induction. I actually have hope that this time I could maybe, possibly, have a natural labor all on my very own.
The thought is actually mind boggling to me. I'm so excited!!!
Ultrasound. I'm not sure about cervical check. It hasn't been mentioned.
Is baby officially head down. Discuss if induction is still a possibility (beyond if I go over). Any other signs of pre-e. What to do when I go into labour. Ha 37 weeks and I still haven't asked what his recommendation is for going to hospital etc.
Update: Baby is head down and around 7lbs 3 oz. This made me laugh because DD#1 was born at 37 weeks 3 days (37 weeks today) at this weight. Of course ultrasound would have to show a possible issue. My Amniotic fluid was 8.6 Apparently normal is 5-25, so I am borderline. SO another ultrasound on Wednesday to check AF again, a BPP and baby weight. If it has dropped I will be getting induced. Apparently it shows that baby could be retaining her urine, which could be a sign that there is a placental issue. Of course I come home and google, and it says the fluid drops dramatically after 37 weeks, but I guess it is the fact it is low that worries him if it drops.
I had an appointment today. Baby is "engaged", which I thought meant something for stms but it does not. I don't want her to come this early, but I am also terrified of going late! I'm exactly a week from when I delivered DS. Otherwise, nothing to note. Odds of my favorite midwife delivering are not great
michelleca ((hugs)) I recently found out that the MW I've been seeing this whole time will not be there for my induction on the 13th, and I have never met any of the doctors... but I do know from past experience that eventually I won't care who's down there.
