Any questions/concerns?: since I'm planning a repeat cs, if I do go into labor on my own, do I still follow the 5-1-1 rule and wait to call? I was timing contractions for a couple of hours Friday night then they fizzled out. I realized I didn't really know what the plan was if I actually go into labor.
Ultrasound/cervical check?: supposedly yes to both since he had to leave early last week to go deliver a baby.
Day of appt: Weds and Thurs Weeks: 38 Q/C: position of baby. Has she finished her flip? If the version is still not successful, what if any are my options U/S or CC: u/S thurs with the second version attempt
Weds is my reg 38 week appt and Thursday is Version attempt number 2. Since her half flip last Thursday I am a completely different person. I feel so much better and can actually get around and am not in excruciating pain all the time. I am even sleeping better. I hope she finished the flip on her own. I have been feeling a lot of downward pressure. But I still have 2 lumps up top, one on the left of on the right, so who knows. Everything crossed that she has flipped or that the doc can finish it for her!!!!

Day of appointment: 2 appts today, 2/29, and one appt tomorrow.
Weeks/days: 39+6, and 40 weeks
Any questions/concerns?: for today, any progress down there? Is baby's heart rate OK? For tomorrow, is the amniotic fluid still high? Do we induce because of this or just monitor?
Ultrasound/cervical check?: both. CC today, u/s tomorrow.
How did it go? I'll update later today and tomorrow.

Day of appointment: Wednesday
Weeks/days: 39w5d (on Wednesday)
Any questions/concerns?: Nope.
Ultrasound/cervical check?: Probably cervical check. My guess is that they'll want to get an induction on the calendar... I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. Might depend on how miserable I am on Wednesday.

For C we weren't going to even start talking about an induction until I hit 41 weeks. Luckily she came out at 40w 6d hopefully you'll have the same luck.

@shakeyjakey I'm the same. I can actually feel my left ankle swelling at points in the day. My right I don't feel it and it doesn't look as bad. Update what your doctor says because now I'm curious!

Thursday
37 weeks
Ultrasound. I'm not sure about cervical check. It hasn't been mentioned.
Is baby officially head down. Discuss if induction is still a possibility (beyond if I go over). Any other signs of pre-e. What to do when I go into labour. Ha 37 weeks and I still haven't asked what his recommendation is for going to hospital etc.

So, I'm having a baby tomorrow!
My doctor did a CC, and I went from 1cm and not favorable at all last week, to 3cm and favorable for induction today. I literally did not believe her and said, "you're shitting me right?" Whoops haha.
So with that news, on top of the increased amniotic fluid, she wants me in tomorrow at 8am to start the induction.
I guess I should pack the rest of my bag, install the car seat, and find an outfit for this baby. Oh, and figure out a name for her, too ... third child problems haha.
Appointment went well. 2-3 cm and cervix has moved anterior so definite progress. I mentioned I've been continuing to get the awful headaches and he said because of that he wants to induce. He's not on call until Fri so we'd wait until then...otherwise he said it could be any minute now. Guess I'll add myself to the "sound off" thread. Also, fun fact, H's bday is on Fri so it's likely father and son could share a birthday.

nexttonormal - we finally decided on a name today - I was still looking online this morning. The one we picked ended up already being something I had on a list, but I was feeling the pressure.

Yay for a name!! I have the baby name book packed in the bag. We still don't have one picked out.
Ultrasound/cervical check?: I don't think so, unless something comes up.
How did it go?: I'll update tomorrow!
Nothing of interest to report - baby and I are both doing great. No CC, but they'll do one next week, and maybe a sweep if I'm dilated. Apparently they like to do them at 39w with VBACs to encourage labor to start earlier if possible. Baby's started to drop, so that's a good sign!
Any questions/concerns?: I started having a lot of thick mucousy discharge yesterday morning.
Ultrasound/cervical check?: U/S - no, CC - yes
How did it go?: Pretty uneventful. I was hoping the discharge meant things were happening. But based on the CC maybe a fingertip dilated, which was so not worth the terrible cramps the rest of the day.

Day of appointment: Today (3/1)
Weeks/days: 39+1 Any questions/concerns?: Do I really have to show up for this?
Ultrasound/cervical check?: Offered, I refused. DS was with me too so it would have been #awks
How did it go?: Got to meet another MW at my hospital, so that's at least 6/?? so far. At this point I'm just hoping to have met the one I actually deliver with...

Day of appointment: Yesterday (Monday)
Weeks/days: Yesterday was 37+3
Any questions/concerns?: The big thing was checking size and figuring out the plan.
Ultrasound/cervical check?: Yup! Ultrasound that is - no more cervical checks until due date week.
How did it go?: Good! Baby is about 9 pounds 6 ounces right now. The HC/AC (head circumference/abdominal circumference) is good - head is bigger than abdomen. With all of that, we're going to see what happens in the next 2 weeks. If I go into labor naturally, awesome. We won't be doing any heroic measures if I go and pushing isn't working (vacuum/forceps - it will be a C/S if that happens). If I go in on the 3/14 (39 weeks) and am dilated, we'll schedule induction. If I'm not dilated, we'll schedule the C/S. Whew! It was a very overwhelming appointment in terms of info, but I feel good about the plan. Now, let's see if LO will decide to show up on his/her own.
Ultrasound/cervical check?: no/CC was offered but I declined
How did it go?: NST today. MW says she thinks this kid just likes to show off. Baby had 12 accels in 20 min. Apparently I am also having contractions, but I wasn't feeling them. Next Tuesday is my last appointment before induction so we'll definitely be doing a cervical check. We also talked about the fiasco that happened last week when my husband tried to call to talk to her at the other location that she works. Whoever answered the phone kept transferring him to the location I'm seen at... She was not happy about that and wants him to try to remember the name of the person who answered the phone because obviously they can't do their job...

Update:
Appointment was uneventful. Baby sounds good and is head down. No cervical checks until 40 weeks. We talked about stripping my membrane next time and I told her no thanks. C was 6 days late, I'll just be happy to have a baby by St Patrick's day.
ltlbandito they told me the same thing last week at my pre and post version NST. They asked me several times if I could feel how much I was contracting. I even heard the nurse tell the doctor I was having a lot of uterine activity. They gave me a shot to stop them for the version, and it felt so weird after but idk if it worked bc the doctor said he could feel my contractions while he was doing the version. Idk if it means anything... That was almost a week ago and no baby.
Any questions/concerns?: Are my fluid levels still too high? Head down still? Size? Any progress made, since I'll likely be induced?
Ultrasound/cervical check?: yes and yes
How did it go?: Monday: This was my last growth scan. I've officially graduated from MFM. Woohoo! Encore is head-down, and posterior, which s/he has consistently been throughout my scans. My fluid levels have dropped down to normal (woohoo!!!) and has an estimated weight of 7lbs 1oz. So looks like another big baby for me!
Obligatory creepy u/s pic:
The tech says Encore has "cheeks for days" as well as some hair going on. I can't wait to meet him/her!!!
Yeah...thanks for the huge baby genes are being directed at Husband. He and his siblings were all over 10 1/2 pounds and 21 inches long. DH was 11 1/2 pounds and 23 inches. I'm terrified at what could (potentially) be coming out of my vagina. And also hoping that the measurements are off and LO isn't actually that big yet, although I fear those hopes may be in vain.

My cervix did something!! 1 cm and softening, better than last week's big fat nothing. Have another appointment on the books for Monday and at that one they will schedule me for a 41 week induction. FX baby shows before then!
Back from the MW. She wasn't 100% on the position, but she was 100% sure the head is no longer on the right so that is good news. Baby is most likely head low to the left in a transvers-ish position, which is where the MFM left her last week, or potentially head down. Obvs head down would be better but either way she didn't move back to the really bad position she was in so we are feeling pretty optimistic about tomorrow's version number 2. We also discussed our options for if things don't go well tomorrow and we do have more options than I thought. And they are more willing to do a customized plan specific to me and our baby rather than saying 39 weeks means C section, which makes me feel good. We will discuss options for next steps with the MFM if tomorrow doesn't go well, but everything crossed I walk out of tomorrow with a nice head down baby!!
