With dd around 34 weeks my aunt asked my mum if I was sure it was a girl. Solely based on how I was carrying. Same aunt guessed girl at 18 weeks based on how I was carrying. ... you mean my bloat? Because I wasn't really showing yet just a little chunkier.
People are so proud of themselves when they guess right. I want to be like, you had a 50/50 chance Ms. Cleo.
LOLOLOLOL maybe I'm deliriously tired and motn-breast feeding, but this is the funniest thing ever.
I've been having contractions for 24 hours. They were 6 minutes apart for 12 hours and then started to slow and now are 10 or more minutes apart. I'm so tired and frustrated. Come on, let's pick it up, ute!!
Ugh. I'm sorry! Such a mind f!! MH and I went out to dinner for the first time in awhile last night and I started having contractions almost immediately after we got there. Dinner date ruined. Booo. They of course slowed down as soon as we got in the car after scarfing down our food.
I just changed all the sheets, pillowcases, and blankets on the bed. Maybe it'll have the same effect of washing your car making it rain and my water will break tonight.
Changing the sheets worked for me! No water breaking but I did go into labor that night. Sending you all my good luck labor vibes!

xxkimmy8xx ugh what a mind game! I called the nurse line and she tried to convince me it was false labor and I basically cried/laughed. Painful contractions every 6 minutes for 15 hours was not false labor, thank you. Also my mucus plug begs to differ.

I had the same thing just a few days before I had C. Hopefully in the next few days

This is how I felt when they sent me home the second time. Prodromal labor can go fuck itself.

You are the first person I've heard of that has had this experience, thank you! I am just crossing my fingers I don't have to go to work on Monday... how embarrassing.

Nope totally happened. H stayed home and everything because we were timing contractions all. Day. Long! Then by 9pm nothing, everything stopped. Then two days later baby

So good to know. This was me exactly. Started on the drive to work, stayed an hour or so and then went home. 45 seconds long every 6 minutes all freaking day. I laid down to get some sleep and they got 10 minutes apart, then 20, then nothing. DAMMIT UTERUS.
Good news is it was a good wakeup call. My mom drove down, my sister is on her way, dog is boarding, and (this is huge) BAG IS PACKED. Now we wait I guess...
These are all commiseration love tits. So much for second kids come faster, amirite?? UGHHHH.
Boys are lazy, at least that's what I've seen with friends. A friend of mine just had a boy after having 2 girls and she was pregnant the longest with him... 40w1d. I'm predicting a boy in your future, LB!
I'm officially overdue! Am I the first M16er to go past their due date?
I'd like to thank the Academy....
Seriously! What is in the water over here? Our whole board was full of March babies straining to be February babies...
I didn't change the sheets, but the day I went into labor I did go to yoga, shop at 3 stores, and then come home and deep clean the entire house and kitchen and reorganize the fridge. I had just taken a shower and was going to start dinner...
So by all means, clean that house and change those sheets!
From a sheets changing perspective. Baby girl picked the best day to be born. Thursday's are house keeper day, so I just stripped the bed down before we left (our mattress protector worked fantastically!) and then the cleaning lady put new sheets on. Then as an added bonus my mom already did all the laundry. So no house clean up for me when we get out of the hospital
I'm just trying to give myself some rest. This baby is so sweet and amazing and I'm so in love with her that I get sort of high every day and want to call all the people and stare at her and cook things and respond to work emails... but yesterday I had a breakdown of tears because we went to Target for maxi pads after the pediatrician and I was just SO TIRED I fell apart for no reason. I realized I hadn't napped once since the baby was born, so I was working off 4 nights of very intermittent sleep.
I took a nap today and accomplished half as many things and I feel much better.

You had a baby like 3 days ago. NO to cooking and work emails. Yes to tv, soft padded chairs, and baby snuggles.
