I had fun watching the waitress' eyes bug out of her head when she asked me when I was due tonight.
I had to pick something I won in a raffle at my hair salon on my due date. The receptionist asked when I was due and I said "oh, today". She visibly took a step back in response like my stomach was going to explode baby all over her. It was hilarious.
I'm here sometimes! I work 60 hours a week. Well, did. Last day today! I actually legitimately told two people to go fuck themselves. It felt good.
Also, laugh at me. I found a new dark spot on my boob, like a freckle, but dark and raised and irregular. I called the dermo freaking out, scheduled a consult/biopsy, and cried for two hours to DH. Then I took a shower to calm down.
It washed off. It was chocolate.
we've all been there.
I was so embarrassed. After having three spots removed over the summer though, I'm apparently still subconsciously on edge I guess. Plus being 27 years pregnant is not great for being rational.
H says I can't have the baby until Thursday since he has something really important going on at work Wednesday.
I'm getting the dog groomed Monday and I have a massage Wednesday, so I'd like her to come after Wednesday too.
Hopefully she just stays in until induction day on the 14th.
I can make it a week. I can make it a week. I can make it a week...
On our was to L&D, my H said something similar. "You're sure you're not in labor, right? Because we'll be totally screwed if I'm off the next two weeks."
Boooooo to work projects. But I'm pretty sure I won't have a baby in the next 2 weeks.

The old ladies at the pool did this when I went to walk laps on my due date. One even told me not to have the baby in the pool. Um, ok, I'll try not to?

Hah. She was probably imagining all the fluids that could potentially end up in the pool... yikes!
Anyone have any tips on getting the IV tape goo off your skin? They seriously taped mine on and my arm is covered in sticky spots. I tried coconut oil and it did nothing.

No advice here, I'm still scrubbing mine off. Maybe try alcohol?
I had contractions for about 6 hours last night. They started out timeable- every 6 minutes or so for 30 seconds. Then they became irregular- 9 mins, 4 mins, 2 mins, 7 mins. They stopped around 2am.

Baby oil or rubbing alcohol have worked for me in the past.
My mil just called to say she's coming over at 3:00 to watch DS and paying for me to go get a pedicure. Because we are buying a house that was not in the budget and I need it bad! I hit the mil jackpot!

I've had a cold since Wednesday but woke up today and felt worse. This cough I have might very well make me cough out the baby. I should see my family doc tomorrow and get something to help move this crap out of my body. DNW to go into labor feeling this bad.

I had that crap a couple weeks ago. I took sudafed and mucinex regularly and used my netti pot. It worked pretty well! I was worried about bring in labor and dealing with a newborn with that crap.

Yeah, I've been doing Mucinex, sudafed, and delsym with no help. I'm over it. Hopefully they can give me something to kick it.
Postpartum hormone swings are setting in. Random things make me want to cry or be ragey because they get on my last nerve. Lack of sleep has something to do with it too.

I've had an awful cough for weeks that was just getting worse. My doctor prescribed an inhaler and it seems to be helping. Plus she gave me the cough syrup with codeine to take at night so I can get some sleep. I'm with you though, I really don't want to be in labor with this cold/cough.

I've been told I have to wait until Wednesday because DH has a deal going through in Tuesday and will be busy all day. Not that I expect to have the baby this week. With my luck I'll be a week late like I was with DD!
I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something I'll need post partum. Of course I can send SO to the store but I'm about to use my Amazon discount so I want to get as much as possible.
I keep thinking if things I forgot. We made a babies r' us run today and when we got home I realized I don't have a cover for the changing pad. I'm sure I'm forgetting something else. I'm doing everything so last minute for this baby.
