What is your hobbies of choice?

I have many, but I love to create, but I also love games! Board or console or PC strategy or just mindless shooting and stabby stabby. I use various mediums in my art so I don't get bored with working with the same materials from day in and day out.

I miss playing D&D in a live setting around a table or even online. It was fun an imaginative and I did get a whole lot better at math.

MW and I love to play board games and build puzzles. We don't get to do much since work and all takes up most of our time. And part of my time is dealing with the snow and wood furnace.

Well what is your hobbies?

My hobby is training for and running in Marathons and other road races. I qualified for the Boston Marathon and will run the race in April.

I am a music lover, but not a musician, and I'm also into technology as my profession and hobby!

Hobbies...
I used to workout fairly regularly, nothing crazy. I don't really know what a hobby would be these days. I spend anytime not at work with my family. I used to run a bit and will be training for the Disney half-marathon in 2016. In a former life I put together quite a few puzzles, read (I listen to books during my commute now), I also used to write a lot of poetry and short stories. Writing is something I would love to get back to. I just need to make the time.

My hobbies currently are my wife and kids...and you guys. Lol!

Haha, of course my wife and kid are my hobby too tjr. Pretty soon I guess I'll be able to add "watching cartoons" to that list

Yeah...lol. I just feel like I could use some time for a hobby. Somedays i could really use some me time. I make sure my wife has a good 30 minutes a day at the very least to enjoy her hobby -drinking wine and taking a bath that gives me some quality kid time but after that it's bed time routine and hanging with her. If I try to take time for myself I wouldn't hardly see her.

Speaking of cartoons...I love having an excuse to watch them. I was so disappointed when LO wanted to leave Big Hero 6 half way thru at the theater. I saw the end this past weekend. It was pretty awesome. I can't stop blowing it up and going "blahlahlalahla".

I have a few.. I make my own beer, love working on my Nissan Z or any other car I can get my hands on, I also snowboard occasionally and according to my DW, I am a crazy SCUBA diver - I'm certified for commercial saturation/mixedgas/welding etc as well as a whole slew of SCUBA stuff and I Dive RGBM on deep Air (that's what she says is crazy, all the planning that goes into technical stuff to stay safe)

 RGBM (reduced gradient bubble model) is a specially designed set of dive tables (based off of 50yr old heavy set individuals who smoke... lol or so i was told by my instructor)... has very strict rules that have to be followed.. but allows for extended times. 

"normal" sport divers worry about nitrogen toxicity and dive to a maximum of 130 feet because "It's impossible to dive deeper, because you'll die".... depths normally over 110ft will use Nitrox (increase oxygen percentage and lowered nitrogen). however in my field of diving I worry about oxygen toxicity instead of nitrogen. 

Standard air (21% o2) become toxic at a depth of 182ft. My dive plans have taken me to 175ft depth on normal air. Hence the term deep air.

Gotcha. Is there a difference in symptoms of nitrogen versus oxygen toxicity? Neither is good and can be lethal I'm sure, but are there differences in warning signs?

Nitrgoen toxicity, or nitrogen narcosis, has the apperance of being intoxicated... anxiousness, loss of motor skills/focus.. easily fixed

oxygen toxicity, not so much, very very dangerous... tissue/cell damage, collapsed aveoli in lungs, seizures, retnal detachment, blindess

Yeah we actually have a "gas law" for it... called martini's law. basically every 33 ft down you go it similar to drinking a dry martini. Go down to fast you feel the effects faster, you slow down come up about 10 ft. wait for it to get better then progress deeper slowly

I'm a little late to this conversation but my new hobby as of late is woodworking and building little furniture type items. I haven't gotten too in depth with it yet and am just starting to really figure out the best ways of doing things, but I have always enjoyed hands on stuff and it's relaxing as you're going and rewarding to see what you've made when you're done.
