Hey all! Throwing a shower for my dear friend who is pregnant after 10 years (no exaggeration) of trying. I wanted to spoil her with something special, so I am springing for High Tea at a local tea room. I was planning on tea, chats, baby wish cards, and gifts. She wants to play some games.
What games would you suggest for a tea house? Obviously I am not trolling around candy diapers or lining up the guests to check MTB's waistline with a ribbon.
There are some cute ones like match the celebrity baby with its parents or interview the grandmas-to-be and learn what mom and dad's first words were, how old they were when they met milestones, etc. and have guests guess if it was mom or dad. Sorry if that's confusing. These are simple, just need copies of the "worksheets" and pens, and are not embarrassing. They also encourage fun conversation. Another one I enjoyed at my shower was wishes for baby or advice for mom written on pretty cards (not a game, but an activity).
You could also ask guests to email you one if their own baby pictures and people could try to guess who is who.

We are doing Baby Wishes. Love that!
I've never heard of the mom or dad game. That sounds fun. I wonder if the MIL would be compliant!
I always sort of enjoyed the match the baby animal to its name game. Like "cygnet" is a baby swan, "fingerling" is a baby fish, etc.
I didn't have any games at my shower, but if you want them I think that things you could do on paper would be more appropriate than stuff like microwaving candy bars in diapers or not saying the word "baby".
