So a day after celebrating how (relatively) pain-free I was, I hit a wall. Suddenly, the act of lifting my foot to take a step, press a gas/brake petal, let alone attempt to get in/out of a car or bed is HORRIBLE.
From my reading, I think I might be suffering from SPD, and hit many of the risk factors, including high BMI, multiple pregnancies, expecting a big baby, and gaining too much. I'm thankful I'm near the end, but I'd hate to quit working if there is SOMETHING I can do. (I have 14 working days left before planned leave.)
I'm calling my doctor in the morning, but does anyone have any experience or advice?
I haven't been diagnosed but I suspect I have had it with both pregnancies. Unfortunately I don't have any magic tricks to make it better. I'm really sorry you think you have it! It sucks.
My SPD started around 20 weeks and I was able to successfully manage it up until a week ago with icing and chiropractic care. Would definitely recommend looking into a chiropractor who specializes in pregnancy. I found one that does and has a pregnancy adjusting table and it made such a huge difference. Seriously thought I would be in a wheelchair by week 30 but I was actually walking normally and even doing some light exercise up until last week. Also a pelvic support belt would be worth a try. Most chiropractors sell them otherwise you can get them on Amazon.

That's about when mine started too. At this point I can barely walk at the end of the work day. Chiropractor helped a lot until about 35 weeks. There's not one here who specializes in pregnancy. I wish there was!
