I find I go from overwhelming happiness to ready to cry I no time. It's a fun roller coaster of emotions. We sgtruggled for a bit the BF, but he is getting better. Things are getting better. For now anyway.

I'm trying to find the balance in caring for a newborn and still being mom to a two year old. Normally, she doesn't wear me down, but I broke down right in front of her because she just kept repeating the same demand over and over again, but my hands were full. And no matter how many times I tried to explain being patient and waiting your turn, she just kept whining. I know it's an adjustment for all of us and these struggles are temporary, but I feel like I put in a 40-hour work week and am completely drained. I'm glad it's Friday and the weekend approaching so H and I will have man-to-man coverage.

Post partum care is gross. My pelvic floor hurts more now then it did a few days after birth. Im also popping stool softeners like candy and things are barely moving.
Also the whole "sleep when baby sleeps" is kinda BS. Mostly because i don't know if she's going to sleep for two hours or 10 minutes and half the time im in the middle of something when she passes out. Should I stop eating dinner and go lie down? Because that makes total sense.
@arebe I get really engorged too. One thing I have found that helps is pumping some off before LO latches on. It helps a ton and he actually feeds longer. Have you tried that?

I hand expressed, I don't want to start pumping yet.
H went back to work already. So being home alone with baby does get long. My Grammy came by yesterday and that helped to see and talk to an adult. My mom took off the week of 3/14 because technically after my due date. I'm looking forward to that. I try to shower and put on make up just feel good and like myself.

Sleeping in the day just doesn't work for me. Believe me at night I kick myself in the butt and say to myself I should've taken a nap.
Anyone else experiencing major night sweats? I swear it's worse than when I was pregnant. Every time I wake up to feed D, I have to let myself air out a little. It's so annoying.

Yes. Me. And I'm having a hard time regulating temp for baby because I'm all over the place.
+1 I swear I'm sweating one minute and then chattering my teeth from cold the next. Maybe I'll just sweat all the baby weight off, cuz that's how it works, right?

That will be my story, lol. We can call it the sweat it out diet!

This was definitely me postpartum last time. It's annoying to say the least. Waking up soaked from sweat instead of breastmilk didn't happen the first time so it wasn't expected. You guys have all my sorrys.

I have noticed my swelling has gone down so maybe being drenched in the middle of the night is just the body's way of getting rid of excess water. I definitely don't remember this with DD. I'm back to showering twice a day: at night because I feel sticky from nursing and in the morning because of sweat.

I can tell when I've overdone it because the left 2 inches only my incision start to burn like fire until I can sit down and rest. I've mostly noticed it on the way back to the car from weight checks. Just a little too much standing and walking to get to the office.
