Those of you that are on the mini pill still, do you find you are very wet?
I started the pill 3 months ago and I'm having the opposite problem.... Ugh
The month I was on regular bc I was super dry. I'm only on the mini again because I have to mail away for my long term prescriptions and there's been some stupidity happening. Thankfully I had extra minipill packs left.

I feel stupid asking but what's the mini pill? Maybe I should look into that...
The mini pill is a progesterone only pill - it's good while breastfeeding, but otherwise you have to be more strict about taking it the exact same time every day for it to work. For the record, I was super dry while on it, seem to be back to a more normal state down there now that I'm on the regular pill.
I was actually going to start this thread, because I have a question.
I keep hearing people saying things like, "He's got a tooth coming through," or "Another tooth on the way." How do you know? L has had what various people, including her doctor, describe as teething symptoms since she was nine weeks old. Today she has bright red, swollen cheeks and she's been screaming with pain for an hour. I've had to cancel my evening out with some of my mum friends. I've given up expecting her to ever get any teeth.

You'll start to see the white teeth bud in the gums.

Is there some magical way to go to the bathroom while out alone with your baby? I normally use our carrier or just hold him to run in places and he's been out of the bucket seat for a while now. Do I just need to start bringing the stroller?

O hasn't actually had a tooth come in yet. But there has been a huge lump on his bottom gums for almost 6 weeks. It's finally starting to look white and I can feel something under the gums. He's been much fussier than normal.
Fwiw, there is something known as 'delayed eruption' meaning it takes a long time for teeth to come in. I have it. One of my 12 year old molars finally finished coming in last year when I was 27.

I use the carrier, but I find strollers in general to be a PITA.
If LO can roll over and sit up, do I need to be as concerned about blankets in her crib? She sleeps really well in with us (she comes in most nights around 3 am) and I am trying to work on making her bed more comfy. She loves my fleece blanket, but I am nervous about her having something similar unattended. So... I guess my question is... What goes in your crib with LO? Anything?

DS gets a lovey, and a smattering of pacifiers in his crib now. He also is in a sleep sack for all naps/night sleep, which I think makes him feel "cozier" somehow. I'm not sure what the "official" age for blankets is, but when I was swaddling DS, I would use those thin, muslim blankets for naps (not night), and towards the end, he would break the swaddle, so I guess technically he's slept with a blanket in his crib. I think I would be concerned about something heavier like a fleece blanket, especially depending on how big it is. Not sure how attached you personally are to this blanket, but for the transition, would you consider cutting a smaller piece off of it? That way she has the texture and even smell from you/your bed, but not as much fabric to get tangled up in?

Even though mine ends up in the bed with me every night I still have a small loosely woven afghan type blanket in his crib. He's in a fleece zippy sack most nights to keep him warm.
Oh perfect timing. I had a question that wasn't worthy of its own thread - what toys/activities do you bring for LO at places like the doctors office, church, other waiting areas or places you don't want a screaming kid in your lap. We are off for N's 9 month check up, and trying to decide what to throw in my bag. His favorite toys aren't diaper bag size. I am bringing puffs. I bring books too, but like mentioned before, he just slams it around and throws it on the floor (pretty much like all toys), but I digress; I need some ideas! Specific items would be great too!
purple this was his first tooth at 5 months. You can see a physical split in his gums. Not the best picture, but it's nearly impossible to get a better one.

bookninja, I think I have that rattle somewhere in the bottom of my diaper bag - I should dig it back up! junch817, other favorites of my kid's are the plastic links (we kept some of the small toys from his baby gym out, so sometimes I'll hook one of those on, too), teethers (his favorite is a rubber elephant that's basically a knock-off version of Sophie the Giraffe), O-ball, O-ball rattle.

We probably have way more stuff than there ever should be in J's crib. We have 2 blankets...one thick one and one thin one, depending on the temperature that night. There's usually 2 or 3 pacifiers. 2 smaller stuffed animals. I left the nose frida in there earlier, j found it during his nap.

junch817, we've got a million teethers (that's where I keep my banana brush), the lamaze play and gro guys (Torrin is the favorite right now), O-balls, links, and this little ball-rattle toy.

C has a paci and her bunny or her dolly in the crib. It's been warm here so I've been putting her in her footless jammies. When I go up to bed I put a light blanket over her. She usually has it off by morning anyways.
What is the best way to clean fabric toys that can't go in the washer? LO is recovering from a cold so I want to wash everything but he has this little fabric caterpillar that sings and I can't take the electronic parts out...how do I clean it?
