Ok I could really use some tips on meal planning. Do you girls have recipes that you typically rotate each few weeks? Do you plan it so that any extra ingredients from one recipe are used up in another?

If I'm being a good planner I try to pick my least hectic days to make something that will leave leftovers for my busiest days and I have back up frozen stuff (frozen pasta, frozen pizza, veggie burger patties) in case I just say F--- it, I'm not cooking tonight. I do rotate recipes and I love the ones that have leftovers or can be used for other stuff (i.e. Chili then chili mac and cheese or chili nachos, etc) FWIW, here are two easy crockpot favorites that make good leftovers: www.blueridgebabe.com/easy-crockpot-baked-ziti/ (warning, use a crockpot liner with this one or it sticks to the sides really bad) www.bobbiskozykitchen.com/2015/01/slow-cooker-chicken-enchilada-quinoa.html?m=1 (like a chicken quinoa chili)
reginaphalange3 we mostly started meal planning to avoid the nightly "I don't care, what do you want for dinner?" Lol. We do rotate meals and use leftovers where we can. We'll have pork roast one night and then use it in stir fry later in the week, for example.
