All the cute people at my nail salon were very curious about when I'm having the baby. Man, I wish I had a crystal ball! I just said Monday since that's induction day.... I wonder if things might happen sooner. I must look ready to pop. I've had close to no remarks about this pregnancy from people until this week.
I wish I could help fix this...My baby must be a girl, she wants diamonds (April) as her birth stone.
With no induction date in sight, I'm just curious - how far are you willing to go over? Or is her evacuation date your end date?
I'm willing to let him/her go as long as needed...check back with me in a week though. My midwives recommend a BPP at 42 weeks to make sure things are ok in there. They might offer herbal/natural induction methods if things haven't happened by 42. But, they said they don't have a cut off. I'm seeing midwives in a home birth practice so that's why they're not very intervention happy.

That's awesome, sounds like you have a really supportive birth team. I'm a home birth wannabe so I can't wait to hear about yours! (We seriously considered it this time but the logistics were complicated with DS1 so figured the birth center would be easiest since it's just down the road anyway)
I feel so tired today. I have like zero energy. My toddler wants me to chase her. Eff that. Go play with the dog. MOTY
Bummer This was me Wednesday. The extreme lack of energy was insane. Luckily my two kiddos did a great job of entertaining each other.
My big kids are at school. I'm staring at all the books on the floor trying to muster the energy to put them back on the shelf. DD is being super cute though. She's trying to swaddle her teddy in a towel.
Our swing was delivered yesterday, and I'm trying to muster the energy to take it out of the box & attempt putting it together. But I haven't gotten there yet.

I think I've had the first twinges of contractions today! Definitely nothing timeable, but enough of a sensation to be like, oh hey, what's going on down there? I'll take it! Still pretty sure this baby's exit will be forced (induction/c section), but way to go body on warming up!
OrganicRosemary's MIL comment on another thread reminded me of this from earlier this week. H relayed this convo he had with his mother to me.
MIL: Has the baby dropped? H: *awkward pause* Ummmm I don't know. MIL: I knew the exact moment you dropped; I was walking across the Lowe's parking lot. H: .....That's not possible bc Lowe's didn't exist back then. MIL: *quickly changed the subject*
I'm glad H called her out on her BS (he usually ignores it). She says or does crap like that ALL.THE.TIME. She is so full of it, and it pisses me off to no end.
She also told him this week that "as much as she would like to be at the hospital, she'd come stay at the house if we needed her to". What a big fat lie that is!!! She's afraid of my ridgeback and has pretty much refused to house/dog sit since we've been married. (She used to come stay & keep H's dog all the time before I was around)

Speaking of crazy mils.
Mil to my aunt about dh: he was 29 inches when we was born Aunt (used to be nicu nurse): 29 inches? Are you sure? Mil: yes he was just rolled up inside me. Aunt: ....
Since she's said he was 23 inches. Still don't believe since he was only 6.5 lbs.
Then you have sil (I was due 4 weeks after her my dd came 3 weeks early and arrived 2 days before her dd)
"So you had the baby first but I got to go home first."
Yes because I much prefered having a baby under emergency circumstances who spent 5 days in the nicu over being late.... not so much.
Also sil with her dd#2. "She was pushing herself out. She came out and I was only 7 cm"

So, I got bored and started reading up on ever more 'out there' ways to induce labor at home (thanks a lot whoever said to YouTube break your water dancing!) as I figured I can do a couple of the safe ones to keep me entertained over the weekend and if they work, it's a fun coincidence. On my list so far I have an Italian chicken recipe, laughing, 2 fruit smoothie recipes and "think positive thoughts" though I may add more if anything else interesting pops up. Can't do hula hooping (mw said it's safe for me) as I don't have a hula hoop here .
On the way, there were a few not-so-safe suggestions and I am genuinely scared by the number of people reproducing who think drinking Castrol oil is a good idea. Not "castor", "Castrol" which is MOTOR OIL. I hope the people trying it got swift medical attention and didn't have any more kids...
Edit: found some more crazy, I'll keep posting these as they're fairly amusing. One lady said her baby dropped down BELOW her cervix right before labor started. Not convinced she knows what a cervix is.
And another "a lot of times, a woman's water never breaks". Not 100% accurate there.
And one more, one woman asked if she's supposed to eat the pineapple or rub it on her cervix. No more internet for me, there's too much dumb out there.
Yep. Because rubbing pineapple on your cervix makes total sense. Oh lordy...
Also sil with her dd#2. "She was pushing herself out. She came out and I was only 7 cm"
Holy fucking bejesus! In what fresh hell would that be a brag!!! NO, NO, NO, NO!
*crosses legs in horror*
Dear Gd no. Now I'm imagining some predator looking creature clawing out.
Guys, I'm going crazy wanting to leave the hospital. This poor kid is jaundiced, and has a heart murmur. Neither thing is super serious, thank goodness, but I feel horrible for him and I want to take him home to snuggle.
Also I hate the hospital pump and I want my PISA, now. Why do the rental pumps always sound like a dying orca?

I'm pretty sure it's actually impossible since you'd rip the shit out of your cervix. They wouldn't even let me push at 9.5 cm. She's just full of shit and needs to out do everyone. "My horror story is worse than yours! " mil is the same. It's exhausting lol.

+1. What probably actually happened is the last 3 went fast. AS THEY OFTEN DO. But that's not as cool a story.
My feet are giving Kim K's pregnant swollen feet a real run for their money. My pedicure did jack diddly squat to help, but my toes look pretty and the rubbing felt good.
And she definitely dropped overnight. I had a shelf belly yesterday and not anymore.
