QOTW: I tried to include H. in picking QOTW when the thread wasn't posted yet, it took too long and I double-posted! Whoops! I can't figure out how to delete the thread, sorry wittyandwaiting.

1. 37 weeks today baby girl is the size of a watermelon!
2. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow and a growth scan next Monday if I haven't delivered by then.
3. I'm not having any true contractions but I am feeling a lot of pinching and pulling sensations. Besides that I'm just totally exhausted and grateful that I'm done work this week.
I need this on a maternity shirt:
My gestational diabetes has been doing well, I'm just really tired of counting.
QOTW: I couldn't really think of another question so I just put this on here. C has baby time where she just hangs out with and talks to the baby and I just play on my phone or read a book, she's also reading The Birth Partner right now and just finished reading She Looks Just Like You. She also does 1 million things around the house while I nap.

Post here!
LOL No need to be sorry.
I loved your QOTW but then you deleted it. Post it here!!!

Second QOTW: If you've been down this road before, what one piece of advice do you wish you'd gotten while prengnant? If you're a first-timer, how is the advice receiving going? (Too much, too little? Best piece of advice or worst?)
Second QOTW: If you've been down this road before, what one piece of advice do you wish you'd gotten while prengnant? If you're a first-timer, how is the advice receiving going? (Too much, too little? Best piece of advice or worst?)
1. Have ALL the Chapstick available while you're in labour. 2. Keep your fridge, pantry and toilet paper stocked. 3. Pee in every toilet you pass. Always.
2). I I need to go in for my one hour glucose test sometime this week. I probably will on Wednesday.
3). I have been having more annoying symptoms the last couple weeks. Generally, I'm a little more tired and I had some mild lower back pain. Then I pulled something yesterday afternoon and had excruciating back pain. I called in sick today because it was so bad. Today it has gotten a lot better. It's just hard to make myself take it easy but I did. I wanted to pick C up from daycare at 3 so bad but knew I shouldn't be lifting her into the car seat so I had L pick her up on way home. I was also really dizzy on Saturday night and even Sunday morning/afternoon. Not just when I stood up but when I was lying down. I think it was anemia and took some iron which seemed to help. I was going to call them about it today but it's all better and now I'm more worried about my back.
wittyandwaiting-- I can't believe you are 37 weeks!!! I'm so excited for you and your family.
I do wish I would have done more fun adult things. Maybe go on mo I vacation In my first pregnancy. Someone gave me that advice and I followed it some but wish I would have done more! Of course we really couldn't afford a big vacation before maternity leave either . Also, I had someone tell us to not worry about cooking and just enjoy the baby the first few weeks so they gave us cash for our shower that we specifically were instructed to use for take out only. And we did make some food and froze it ahead of time, which was helpful. I am having a hard time remembering advice about more directly related pregnancy stuff right now. I know I worried more about little things but that is understandable, and without going through it before you don't know what symptoms are normal and abnormal. I do wish I would have worries less about stuff but you can't help it sometimes.
Other QOTW (also an excellent one:)): she went to our big ultrasound appt. she didn't last time because her work schedule was so hectic. She is in to feeling the baby kick and has generally been good about helping around the house more. Although sometimes is irritated by it. Not by me but more the situation. She is in to picking out names. Generally she is more in to it. I think the first time around she was more jealous of me being pregnant maybe, or at the least felt a little left out. I think especially after having C she is more excited in general. Maybe partly because this is her bio kid but mostly because she knows what's coming and knows she will still feel like a mom even though she is not carrying
3. I have a general sense of relief that we've made it to 2nd tri, but I still worry.
QOTW1: I try to include MW in just about everything. I feel like I'm constantly oversharing, but she still feels left out. I'm hoping as things progress and Ilook more obviously pregnant and then when she can feel the baby move, that she'll feel more included.
QOTW2: I don't feel like I've gotten much advice. Except for from my mom, but she says some really crazy outdated stuff. I find it entertaining, MW finds it terrifying.

28 weeks with our first. Hello third trimester.
Next midwife appointment is a week from today, then we're on the 2 week schedule after that.
I am so incredibly tired today and it's only 10am. All I can think about is getting home and going to bed. I want all of the coffee, but can't - boo.
QOTW: H. loves feeling the kicks and will have little conversations with the baby. She also painted our new basement on the weekend, which was awesome!
QOTW2: At a hockey game on Sunday the woman sitting next to me talked my ear off for two periods. She gave her guess on sex of the baby based on a series of questions, I should've told her but that probably would have started another train of questioning. Then there was loads of advice on food and nutrition while breastfeeding, etc., etc.
30w3d with the boys today. Suffering with day 9 of a nasty head cold and feeling grouchy. Our shower this past weekend was amazing, and we got loads of wonderful stuff and had a great time with friends.
wittyandwaiting - I totally need that shirt. I'm hoping they stay in and bake another 4-5 weeks, but sweet lord I do not know how I'm going to survive being this uncomfortable for that long. One day at a time, I guess!
QOTW: C and I are passing like ships in the night. She's felt them kick and move a bunch, and she's always at sono appts. She's done 80% of the nursery setup (because she's home at night and I'm working), but I guess that's about it!
QOTW 2: This is our first pregnancy. Worst piece of advice was from my best friend. C asked her what essentials we needed in the hospital bag, and she told us "Sandwiches and ear plugs". Um, no.
Update: Midwife appointment went well, here are the highlights:
I'm still measuring about two weeks ahead so the membrane sweeps will start next week.
My leave from work starts tomorrow (Thursday), I'll be using my paid sick days (about ten of them) and then maternity leave officially begins.
No GBS for me!!!! (Yay!)
Well, I was going to go this morning but forgot to fast. I'll probably go Friday morning. I have no idea when I will find out. Thanks for the well wishes!
