You're up early! When did you wake up this morning?
What's for breakfast?
What's a typical Tuesday look like for you?
I am very much a morning person! Today I was up at 5:45. I'm usually up by 6 the latest on weekdays. Weekends DH and I take turns sleeping in and I could sleep until 8:30 if it's my day
I usually eat an English muffin with PB for breakfast. And an iced coffee. It's my worst habit- Dunkin iced coffee!
Tuesday's are different for us because DH goes to work early. So I have to get DS up at 6:45, and out the door by 7:15. DC drop off is as 7:30 and I have to be at work by 8:10.
After school (3:00), I pick DS up at DC and we head home. DH gets home around 4:45 Tuesday's and dinner is at 6:00. DS bedtime is 7:00 sharp!
I am a Special Education teacher in Elementary school. I currently teach in class support (mainstreaming kids into the General Education classrooms), but I use to teach self contained. The kids were Emotional Disturbed and had severe behavior issues. It was one of the best and worst three years of my life. I love what I do now, but I hope to go back to self contained once we are done having kids.
My hobby use to be Mauy Thai kick boxing. Think UFC, but without the ground fighting. I loved it. I don't do it anymore because it's expensive. At one point I was training for an actual fight.
My least favorite chore is folding laundry. I can't stand it.
My dream house would be a sprawling ranch with four bedrooms, open floor plan and a finished basement. DNW a million floors and stairs.
I love pepperoni pizza with honest mustard on top. I know it's weird, but it started in college when I worked at a pizza placed and we were not exactly sober all the time....
It needs to be a really mustardy honey mustard though. Not like salad dressing.
I really admire the work you do, I'm sure it must be so hard but so rewarding at the same time!
Where did you grow up? Do you still live there?
Did you go to college for education? Have you always known you wanted to work in special education?
What would you say the strangest thing you eat is?
Thanks I love teaching Special Ed.
I grew up on the Jersey Shore, and I still live here. I'm a die hard jersey girl.
I did not intended to go to college for education. At first I went to a small catholic school in upstate NY, and I HATED it. My sophomore year i came back to NJ. By my junior year I had to declare a major and I picked Women and Gender Studies, and later that year a minor in education. I loved the education classes so much that I went to graduate school and I have my Masters in Special Ed now.
I don't think it's strange, but I love ketchup and potato chips
