So I am looking for some healthy snack options that we can take with us to Disney.....the last time we went he wasn't eating as much as he is now and I want him to be able to have more healthy options to choose from...we will have a small backpack with us, any help appreciated!
Goldfish, club crackers, cheese, apples, dry cereal (Chex, Cheerios, etc) are all big hits here. I'm not a big fan of them, but those go go squeeze pouches would be easy to grab and go.
BabyStandish sending more hugs your way. Sorry about the bad news with the car. Car troubles suck. I wish people were more thoughtful when talking about fertility/pregnancy. landonsmom15 have fun in Chicago! Ikea is the best! Good luck to your H. nemomof2 ooh, snaps on the shoulders is a good idea. Dh is the one with the sewing skills, so I'll leave it up to him. Thanks for the tip! Hope you were able to sneak out of work early and get some outside time in. kcrus good luck weaning! Have you had any luck with dropping the motn feed? littlelion ugh, sorry for the rotten day. Hugs and wine to you, lady! dashook I think our lo's might be twins. Lo would be happy as a clam if I let him eat bread and cheese all day long. Kid loves his carbs and dairy... just like me. Lol @alexipodes aww I'm glad his first haircut was a good experience! It is a little bittersweet when they start looking more grown up.
Did some serious damage at Target (PSA- a lot of their kids clothes are on sale) and stocked up on some tees and shorts for cheap. Got some straw cups too because lo figured out straws just out of the blue. He's obsessed.
Well talked with my Dr and told him that I just wanted to try BCP for a couple months to see if that worked. So I will start those this week and see if that helps.
:::creeping in slowly::: I just saw the notifications and felt bad. I didn't realize I had been away for so long! I've missed you ladies! My life has been pretty crazy. My H is still having issues with his back. He ruptured 2 discs in the beginning of January and is slowly getting better with weekly adjustments and pt. He still can't do much to help me around the house and has been told by all 3 doctors to carry Z as little as possible so everything is basically on me right now. Work has been very busy too. The teacher I work with lost his father suddenly so I was solo for awhile. My real life mommy friend was dealing with very bad PPD and almost ended her life. Thankfully she went to a hospital instead and baker acted herself. She's doing much better now but to help her out I've been watching her daughter so she can go to AA meetings and therapy. Last week we had to take Z to the emergency room because we thought she had a seizure. At first they thought it was a febrile seizure (my H got them when he was little) but she didn't have a fever and tested negative for any common infections. So then they told us it might have been grand mal seizure and they did a ct scan, blood work and an ekg. All of them came back normal. After another round of testing in the morning that came back good they sent us home and we set up a follow up with her primary for later that day who basically told us that she didn't know if was a seizure or not. Oddly enough that made me feel better. The ER doctor wouldn't tell us he didn't know he just kept saying "maybe" and "it might" which I understand, he needs to cover his butt, but it still made me freak out. The primary got us an appointment with a neurologist at All Children's Hospital over my spring break (which is in 2 weeks). She told us the only way we will know for sure if she did have a seizure or not is to get an EEG done. She's been perfectly fine since the hospital visit though. No eye tremors or shaking. She's had some sleepless nights but her molars are coming in so that's normal. Other than that my late nights have been filled with Fuller House and completing my etsy orders. I've had a lot of custom ones come in which has been awesome but exhausting! Lol We are using the extra money for gas for our trip up north for my Hs grandparents anniversary party. There's been a lot more crazy but I'll spare you all the rest of the novel. If you made through all of that you deserve lots of wine and chocolate! Lol
Here's some recent pictures of Z. She's getting so big and walks by herself for short distances but isn't a full walker yet. sleeping on me while waiting for the test results.
LO is down for her afternoon nap so I thought I would try and catch up on here. kml218 Glad to hear from you! She is still cute as ever! I think she has more hair than I do! Curse my fine hair lol. Hope your H gets better soon. nemomof2 Glad you spoke up to your dr. Hope things work out. ashlantic I haven't been to Target in a while because I always spend more than I plan on. I sometimes call it "The Abyss" because I have a hard time crawling out of there lol. BabyStandish Ugh, car problems suck! I'm sorry. We are currently looking for a new (to us) car. My car has 228k miles and the registration expires in May. We figure it's time. landonsmom15 I have never been to Chicago but hear such wonderful things about it! Have fun! Actually, I've never been to Ikea either. babyw15 Snacks: Goldfish, grapes, strawberries, cinnamon raisin bread, string cheese, kiwi, cuties (clementines). @alexipodes Aw first haircut! We are still waiting to be able to put up in pigtails, I think LO's first haircut is a ways away lol. littlelion I'm sorry. *hugs* I agree with kcrus, chocolate and wine STAT!! megpie5 Hope you feel better soon! Good thing you have your H to help take care of you.
Finally got the laundry tackled. Today, I decided to wash the bedding out of the blue. I still have to make the bed, but I decided to TCF instead. It was such a wonderful day today; the weather was absolutely gorgeous. LO played in the backyard for a while until she didn't get the hint that she is not allowed to eat dead leaves. They don't even taste good! I can't wait until the garden and raspberries come in. Then she can eat what she finds out back lol.
We're still here! I go back to work on Monday, so I'm enjoying every minute They are actually opening a brand new classroom so that I can teach pre-kindergarten instead of toddlers and I am way more excited than I was. And Colt has spent some time in his classroom and is going to do great! DH let me book an anniversary trip to Mexico for August as a gift to myself (and us) for going back to work, so I'm motivated to get in shape now LoL
We have been doing a special activity every day this week; today is the local children's museum with my mom. Here are a couple pics!
