First, I want to say thank you to all you ladies for supporting me from my BFP to my wedding, through my hiatus and return, during my sad times last summer and the joy after having Q. I really do love you guys. I don't know what I would have done without this community, and I'm so grateful for all of you.
NOW TO THE GOOD STUFF.
He was 40 minutes late because snow, but when he got there, he got out of the car and opened my door for me. He was wearing jeans and a gray button-down, really nice, really casual. We went to a little restaurant in my town and ordered a shitload of carbs and ciders. We talked about all the things, our families, my in-laws, his ex-wife (he's been divorced 5 years), my son, DH, our cats (he has a tabby named Beckham), our jobs, his band. Most of this date we spent talking and laughing. He made me laugh SO MUCH. I haven't laughed this much in a really long time. (I took that stealth picture and posted to FB at some point.) After dinner, we walked up and down the main street in the downtown area, talking talking talking, then decided to go to a bar to talk some more. He said all kinds of sweet things at the bar, brought up the red dress again, touched my hair, etc. We'd been out for 5 hours by the timeI my boulder boobs decided I had to leave.
So we pull up to my house and make out in the car like some teenagers for oh, twenty minutes? Dudes. I felt like I was 17 again. Really nice to know I can still stir those feelings up. He asked when he could see me again, and my schedule makes it so that it has to be like A WEEK or something, and we talked about doing something for Valentine's Day. And that's it!
At some point during the night, I remember thinking, "well, it looks like I still got it." Dating: just like riding a bike.
