So... Was anyone NOT late to work this morning? I rolled in about 7 minutes late. Oops. Actually not bad considering the night we had last night. Time change sucks.

I was, but I cannot blame daylight savings. I am chronically late to work, still get in earlier than everyone else, though.

Also, I was stoked to lose 12 lbs. Well, I was stoked until I bought a new scale and realized that I did not lose 12 lbs, our old scale was broken. I only lost 5. Boo.
We had the roughest night since probably 3 months old. Nora kept waking up screaming between 12-4. We tried cosleeping for the first time ever. She thought it was play time at first but we eventually all dozed off. Thankfully, DH has flexibility and didn't go to work at his normal time so we could all get more sleep.

First day alone with DD2, DH is back at work today. I managed to get showered and get DD1 dressed and ready for daycare so I feel like that is a huge win. Also, DD2 actually enjoys car rides - what is this sorcery?!? So I treated myself to a coffee and car wash after daycare drop off.

Peed for like the 10th time today. Stereotypical pregnant woman.
Also - H got HUGE brownie points this weekend. A friend came from out of town and came and stayed friday night and Saturday morning I ended up really sick. I went upstairs not sure what I was going to do and didn't say anything to H. I ended up passing out on our bed and H never questioned me, he continued to watch DD no problem while working on his go kart with our friend. I got a two hour nap, woke up feeling better so I grabbed DD and fed her lunch and put her down for her nap. Ended up sick in the bathroom but felt better after and got to spend DD's nap resting in bed.
If it wasn't for that nap I think I would have felt ten times worse. I can't believe H didn't bother me, he actually just parented without question/prompting (like he should but we all know moms end up being the default parent!!). He even came up when DD was napping to check on me and make sure I didn't need anything.

That's a huge win for day 1 solo. Good job!!! And yay for coffee!

My H is on spring break this week and home with both kids. I'm super jealous! Although his day of full time parenting will probably be harder than mine at work.
But, I'm taking a vacation day on Wednesday and we're all going to a spring training game. Can't wait to lay in the grass, soak in the sun and have a beer! The next two days are probably going to go by crazy slow.
Also, I was stoked to lose 12 lbs. Well, I was stoked until I bought a new scale and realized that I did not lose 12 lbs, our old scale was broken. I only lost 5. Boo.
I went to Costco this morning for 2 things. So instead of a cart I just brought the stroller. I ended up with DD in the sling (which was luckily in my purse) and the stroller stacked super high. Oops. Not my fault they have summer/garden stuff out!
But when we got home, I went to move some stuff in the garage to put the garden stuff down and there was mouse poop EVERYWHERE. Ugh. I hate mice. Just waiting for DD to fall asleep and then i'm going outside to sweep it all out/bleach spray it all down and set traps. GROSS
Other than driving to Starbucks and back yesterday, I haven't left the house since Thursday and that was just for a doctors' appointment. But today is the first day DS hasn't had a fever, so I think we're on the upswing!
Guise...it gets worse... I was trying to clean stuff up, I moved a bag and 3 mice ran out from under it. They are awake in my garage ? DH is going straight from work to a hockey game so it's just me. I have pulled 90% of the stuff out of the garage, they are hiding behind the lawnmower. I sent my dad desperate help me texts but he is at the gym and hasn't seen them yet. I may have a heart attack and die. If I do, it was nice knowing you all.
They aren't the humane solution, but I used glue traps at my old house. Caught them quickly every time.
