Hey Ladies! I asked this question in Sunday Randoms but goldenlove3 asked for a thread What apps are you using to track your pregnancy? So far we have a couple votes for Ovia Pregnancy. I don't need anything fancy, just at least a weeks counter and some place to get my baby to fruit comparisons

I have like 5 apps downloaded on my tablet. I think my favorite is Glow Nurture because I like the visuals. All the apps seem to be so busy though. I don't need to see all the silly articles and whatever else they think I need to see.
I downloaded ovia only because it was the only one I knew by name and I really wanted something to quickly tell me how far along I was. I will probably take a minute at some point this week to download some others and really decide what I like to use.
So, my thoughts so far after I have played with a few apps.
I downloaded Ovia, What to Expect, Pregnancy +, and Glow Nurture. All free. Pregnancy + only lets you use it for 14 days and some features aren't available yet... you have to buy Pregnancy ++ for 3.99
Ovia: Simple, clean attractive interface. I like the calendar where you can go through and add various things. When you add something to your calendar (examples are milestones, appts, weight, notes, etc...) it adds to your timeline so you can see it on the main page when you scroll through. You can choose from 4 different baby size themes and at some point it starts showing you baby's hand size!
Glow Nurture: Also very clean and simple interface. Easy to find things. I really like their daily logs... you basically check yes or no on the questions and for some if you click yes a new page opens up to ask for more details. After you do all of that, these daily insights pop up that talk more about the things that you checked and why it might be happening. They also have a time lapse photo thing that I haven't checked out but seems like it could be a neat tool.
Pregnancy +: Again, pretty attractive interface, easy to find things. This has a kick counter (that you have to pay for), but I think there are probably kick counter apps available separately. Same with contraction counter. They have lots of places to put separate notes so you can keep different things organized. I am not impressed with anything it is offering so much that I would pay 3.99 for it over the two free ones I have already looked at.
What to Expect: The one thing that stood out to me on this one was that is has you select what your insurance is and apparently has insurance benefit information on it. Of course mine isn't listed because I work for a regional hospital that manages it's own plan. Boo. But it seems like a cool idea if you have insurance through a large carrier. I wonder how accurate or helpful it is. I think the lady on the video for this week was kind of obnoxious. I don't know if she does all of them. The actual animated embryo/uterus part of the video was cool and informative. They also have a list of Tests and Screenings and when they typically happen as well as thorough explanations of why they are doing them.
So I will probably just outright delete Pregnancy +, keep What to Expect for the tests and screenings pages, and decide at some point between Glow and Ovia. Or just keep them both. We shall see. It's still early.

Very thorough, nuggetrn! I actually went and downloaded Ovia after reading this thread yesterday. I used The Bump the first time around, but like PPs will not use it again out of principle.
I would like to add that Ovia also has a feature where you can enter your health insurance info. This morning I got a notification from them about how my insurance will reimburse some of the cost of a gym membership or fitness classes, which is good to know!

Thank you for this thread!!
Just downloaded Ovia and already love it. I downloaded Baby center and immediately remembered why I hated it, and couldn't bring myself to download TD.
I will prob sign up for Pregnant Chicken and Lucie's List weekly emails too, I enjoyed those last time.

be careful of the "community" feauture on ovia. Sooooo much misinformation.
Yes! I noticed that too. I also don't like that if you answer a question is just randomly assigns you a username, but it changes each time.
