Waving hello---hopefully I'll find more time to participate!
So, I'm now the manager over my two clinics! Right now I'm doing double duty & working as an X-ray tech and learning management stuff. I'm at work 5days a week, 3-11s, 2-8s. A new X-ray tech starts in a week. We're still down one position though and I've heard one of the nurses will be leaving. So my next 1-2mos will probably royally suck, but it will be worth it.
Second reason I've been gone. Quite a while ago I posted about my BIL and his kids---how paternity was never done. Shit got real bad between him and his baby-mama. They split, she took the kids and he didn't have any contact for about 6mos. Baby-mama gets in some deep shit, busted with drugs. They go to court for the kids, paternity is done. Neither of the kids are my BILs. The family has been quite devastated. So I've had a lot going on there, as I'm more the neutral ground contact person.
Today I'm going for a much needed massage and haircut. Hopefully my new glasses will come in this week because I want to take a picture of my haircut, but I feel like my new glasses will just look better than my old super-scratched ones.
Saw this on my newsfeed this morning. It's so me! Plus I'm totally laughing at the link "it's all about the poop" lol pulptastic.com/its-all-about-the-poop/
My feet are small enough to fit into the youth sized toms. Which is great because #cheap. Also I wear them almost everyday and wear through them really fast
Did the price go up? I thought they were around $40-$45!
Kids are that much.
I vote you splurge and buy them. Just in case you ever need to wear shoes. and that will last you that much longer because you won't wear them as often.

It was one of those mornings and I got two work 2 hours late. Of course it's the one day people need like 20 million things done immediately. Oh goodness.
So my mutt got into the basement with the chicks and killed 4 Hubs went to get a few more and came back with 8. Total chick count - 14. The older ones are getting too big for their tub so H needs to get the coop finished!
Also - DD is the cutest with the chicks. She loves to kiss them and will even gently hold them. So sweet.

I'm back from a couple hours of pampering. Except my boobs hurt so much during my massage. I pumped right before I left plus I've been sleeping on my stomach at night. So I don't know why they felt so squished.

You probably move a little to relieve pressure at night. Good for the pampering!

I used a pillow under my chest when I had post-natal massages!
mimsy look online! If you aren't picky there are often clearance ones or sales
Costco had them online for I think $30 a little while back, apparently they were even cheaper in stores. You just had to be happy with basic colors. I was really bummed because I got a black pair in my usual size (the smallest Costco was selling) and they were huge so they went back.

So, I assume this is a total "city girl" (suburbs) question, but is he a hunting dog? Why would he kill 4 chicks? Is he just a nasty dog? Also, when you mentioned DD holding the chicks I thought "Aww, so cute, I want some!" Then I remembered how birds scare the crap out of me. Someone a couple miles up the road has chickens that escape their coop and wander a somewhat major road. Those fuckers always jump out and scare the crap out of me when I go for a run!
I'm like that with cats too. Kittens cute....cats scary!

Haha adult chickens kind of creep me out too, but I think raising them from chicks will help me like them more!
So our dog is a mutt but has a lot of terrier in her (like jack russel/rat terrier/ something of that nature). She has always been one to chase squirrels or be interested in rodents - I had a hairless rat at one point and she didn't eat or sleep for a week so I had to find the rat a new home. Literally my dog just sat in front of the cage whining. Also - she caught and killed a chipmunk in front of my husband when he was taking them for a walk in the woods. So we knew she could be a problem with any small animal.
I want to add that she is a sweet dog and loves people and is so great with DD. It's just a small animal thing. She chases our cat but I think that's more for fun because the cat chases her back. They all sleep together in my bed no prob and even snuggle together.
She's also the kind of dog that likes to destroy squeaky toys and pull out all the stuffing. So to her, the chicks were nice little squeaky toys. Honestly I think it's just instinct, and while I'm mad at her I can't really blame her. We are just a lot more diligent about making sure that door shuts fully and we can't push it back open.
