DH and I decided to have a couple drinks last night to celebrate St. Patrick's day early since he was home by 7pm. Then DS started coughing at 5am. I'm so tried. Also, he's coughing and sneezing, yet finishing up augmentin on this Friday for an ear infection/upper respiratory infection. WTF? I guess he got a cold on top of this. At least he was feeling better for 4 days.
FFTC: I have a really important appointment at 9:15. I can't answer my phone for 30 min while I'm in it. I'm sending him to school with the cough and hoping for the best. I told DH to have his phone with him and tell them I'd be right there if they call. So much mom guilt.

I am sorry he is not feeling well! And I can probably count on both hands at this point the number of times I have sent J to DC with my fingers crossed that they wouldn't be bothered by his snotty nose or cough. Usually he ends up so busy that he doesnt act as sick as he does at home. (And FTR, they have only ever made me come and pick him up once). I hope your appointment goes well
I'm watching Jig with S. I'm getting mixed feeling about putting her in dance classes. I was never a dancer so I don't know, it's seems so... Competitive.
weeklyplanner Don't feel bad. Shep gets cold symptoms every time he cuts a tooth. He goes to daycare regularly with a cough and runny nose for that reason. That is acceptable as long as there aren't other symptoms. Hope he feels better soon!!!

I started dance at a very young age. I loved it. The only time it ever got competitive was when I was older and there were certain routines to 'tryout' for when it came to recitals. but nothing crazy like dance moms.

That's the thing, girl loves to dance. Grandparents have said they would put her in classes.

My mom didn't put me in anything when I was little and by the time I was old enough to know about it and want to try it, I was so far behind others my age I was embarrassed and not successful. I eventually found my niche in music, but I always wished I'd had the opportunity to explore more things as a young child.
Tl;dr if you have the opportunity to put her in extra activities like dance, do it!

DD took 2.5 hours to go to bed last night, which H handled for the most part. Then she woke at 3:30 screaming and never went back to sleep, which I handled. Pregnant woman, crouched on the floor next to DDs toddler bed was very uncomfortable. Every time I thought she was falling back asleep she would pop up and look around. Ibuprofen didn't make a difference and H and I are stumped as to what was wrong. Hopefully it was a fluke and we can all get some sleep tonight.
So because I was a little tired this morning I forgot to put DD in green yet by chance I ended up wearing a green shirt.

Fun Fact: Misty Copeland didn't start ballet till she was 13. It worked out well for her.

weeklyplanner, also BTDT. I hope he gets to school and has so much fun that he doesn't even remember he doesn't feel 100%.
gahorseygal, sorry about the rough night. Could it be teeth? I hope you all get some rest tonight!
I took a vacation day yesterday and now I have zero motivation to work for the rest of the week! How is it only 10am? I feel like I've been here for 8 hours already. Boo!

Oh I totally COULD have been successful with it. But being as self conscious as I was, and my small town having very limited resources for beginners older than 4 or 5, it didn't work out for me. It was hard being the only 10 year old in a class of 3 & 4 year olds, but that was my only option.

This has been Nora past few nights. She's acting like she has a belly ache. Last night we gave her gas drops and it helped A TON.

mimsy - DD1 loved mom and me ballet at 2. I am hoping to do it with DD2 as well. We have put a pause on dance for DD1 because she has lost interest, but I would pick it back up in a heartbeat if she asked. At least here the level of intensity is highly studio dependent
