This belly hiked a mountain today! We had an awesome time, and it was a huge boost to my confidence to know I can still do this. I've been feeling like a slug recently.
We just got back from a Mexican restaurant and I'm so full, I can barely breathe. We went with our neighbors and had a good time. Unfortunately we couldn't stay long because DS was crying. DS has been kind of an emotional wreck today, hopefully he sleeps it off tonight!

Yay nothing like a good hike in the mountains to make you feel alive!
Did you end up wearing the support belt or did you make it without?

We did an Easter egg hunt this morning. It was a whopping 30 degrees. The other kids were SO fast, but DD got enough eggs to make her happy. (She was actually over the moon about the eggs themselves because she loves watching those ridiculous surprise egg videos on youtube.)
Then she had more candy than she's maybe had ever, and the sugar high was actually pretty adorable. I also went nuts buying stuff for an Easter basket, so the trend will continue. I thought I would feel worse about toddler candy consumption, but I just don't. Everything in moderation.

No belt. It was only 6 miles but I might have wanted one if we had gone for longer. My lower back was a bit sore during the last 1/2 mile or so. I huffed and puffed a bit more than normal on the way up. Otherwise I felt great!
frecklesnbrains wow impressive! Glad it felt great and hope you're not too sore tomorrow. manybellsdown omg I hate those video and ds watches them all the time. There's some weird stuff on YouTube kids. Congrats on the new car shoogars
I think I just broke my fever. I've been a blob all day. We went to an Irish dance show this morning then I went shopping by myself and over did it. I've been in my bed since this afternoon. I wanted to get so much done this weekend and I'm not off to a great start. There's always tomorrow!

Looking like a good Saturday for most! Just catching up!
Today was busy, had brunch with my cousin and her mom, dropped DD off at in-laws and painted the nursery!!! Also had way too many chicken wings for dinner and I'm still stuffed and can't sleep.
Since DD is spending the night at DH's parents I'm hoping I'll get to sleep in tomorrow!
Yesterday was a busy day and today looks to be that way as well. DS has a fever, so DH is going to bring him in to the weekend pediatric office to make sure he doesn't have another ear infection.
I was talking with my mom yesterday and telling her how DS has been biting other kids at daycare and he also bites me at home sometimes too. We've been working with the director and his teacher on ways to get him to stop. My mom suggested that maybe I should bite him back and that'll teach him! Umm no Mom, I'm not biting my kid to teach him a lesson....
babyzebra my ds was biting the first couple weeks of school. I don't have any real advice but we just talked about ways that are okay to touch our friends and we also talked about when someone does something you don't like we just say "no thank you." We don't bite because it hurts and makes people sad. I watched very closely at play dates and his teachers were helpful at school redirecting and repeating phrases to him. I think the first day he came home and didn't bite someone I got him a paw patrol figurine from the dollar store and he was pretty pumped that he was nice and got a toy. Good luck!! I also hope he doesn't have an ear infection

My ILs were here yesterday and today DS is being a brat because they let him get away with everything!! I'm thinking of taking him shopping just to get out of the house and maybe we will have to go get ice cream since I've been craving it hard core lately.
Today we are going to attempt to make it to church (it's been almost 2 months since I went last) and may also go visit DH at work.
DH need to go in to work for a while today, so it's just the girls and I. I need to get the house clean, it's amazing how these tiny people can trash a place so quickly.
That shower theme is adorable! My parents and grandmother are off on an amazing trip to Australia this week. I'm so jealous. I got to go in August so I shouldn't complain, but I absolutely loved it and I so wish I could be going off with them.
Such a cute shower Andrea! I'm glad you had a great time, and I totally agree with having a shower thread so we can live vicariously through you guys!
babyzebra, DS went through the biting stage briefly and nothing worked for us until he truly surprised me one day and I yelled out of pain/surprise. I didn't yell at him directly but more just a really loud "OWWW!!!" that startled him. That was the last time he bit me (or anyone else) because I think he finally understood that it hurt. Of course, it could have just been blind luck too!
My thoughts exactly! I went on a 3 mi hike the other day and that was good lol. Granted I also had a 20 lb toddler on my back.
Props for this! Hey, when's your big hiking trip? Remind me where you're going. I seem to remember some place I'm madly jealous about. I can't wait to hear what you did/saw!
I'm stressing about taking my glucose test tomorrow & I'm second guessing all of my food choices. Trying to resist my cravings & eating fewer carbs sucks. Hopefully it'll come back clear and I don't have to worry.

I did the same thing. But in the end, I figure that if I ate relatively normally, it would come out the way it was supposed to. Unless I fail by a point or something, and then I am going to be pissed about that I ice cream I ate Friday night... Good luck! I hope neither of us ends up back in for the 3 hour.
Triple threat today... 1) a woman I barely know touched my stomach. 2) she said "I can't believe you aren't due until June, you look like you are ready to pop!" 3) we were at a wake.
My DH went on a hike with some friends with DS this morning (I know I should be exercising, but I went grocery shopping and ate candy instead). He had this really cool carrier that he borrow from a friend-I think it's Kelty brand? Anyways, for those of you that are hikers (I'm looking at your freckles!!), might be worth the investment! DS is almost 30 pounds and he said it was super easy and DS loved it!!
I can start a thread for Nursery progress and Shower updates!

Next weekend! We're going to Bryce Canyon. I'll make my H use the hiking carrier (we have a Thule) for the long day of hiking. And then I'll wear her in the kinderpack for our shorter day hikes! I'm super excited!

That shower looks amazing! Hope you had fun andrea.
Add me to the living vicariously through others for their showers. I'm co-hosting 2 this pregnancy and have been to one other. I'm a terrible, lazy host though so both of them have been pretty low key and casual
