Triple threat today... 1) a woman I barely know touched my stomach. 2) she said "I can't believe you aren't due until June, you look like you are ready to pop!" 3) we were at a wake.
I have a freaking SNOW DAY tomorrow. It's not like I don't enjoy an unexpected day off from time to time in the winter, where snow days belong, but come on! The snow will probably melt after a couple hours, but unfortunately the big storm part of it is right during the morning commute and it is all based on what is safe for buses. I need to do a major assignment with the kids this week (required by the school, so I couldn't skip it even if I wanted to) before state testing starts next week. I don't know how I am going to manage it now. I don't want to put them under a time crunch and stress them out even more. Bad enough they have to do a big school essay and PARCC testing one right after the other.
Oh well, bright side time. DH has a day off tomorrow and we don't get to hang around all day together very often.

Ugh that's awful I'm sorry. I had someone at work rub my belly, I was so uncomfortable. Good thing my boss was right there and took care of it for me.

I have two belly touchers at work. Ome was like let me know when s/he kicks so I can feel. So much nope. I seriously don't even like shaking hands with people. Do. Not. Touch. Me.

Oh my gosh guys. I've had such a crazy night. Long story short, I'm at the ER. I tripped while cooking tonight and dumped boiling pasta and water on myself. I have a burn on my neck and face, my leg is bleeding, and I'm worried my foot is broken. Thankfully labor and delivery just monitored the baby for 30 min and all is good. I'm so worried I traumatized DS after screaming so much-I thought my skin was blistering up. Waiting to get my foot and burn checked now, just thankful the baby sounded/looked good.
Guys. I kid you not. This super young ER Doctor just pulled up GOOGLE on his phone to see if this burn cream was ok during pregnancy because he wasn't for sure.
Oh my gosh. He could at least leave the room before googling...isn't there some sort of reference for that kind of thing?
He did have some reference app he looked at but couldn't find it there so looked on Google. I only knew that because he had his phone casually right by my bed side. I don't care, I was just trying really hard not to laugh at that!
I'm home now and have burn cream and a big boot for my foot. Waiting two days and if it doesn't feel better, they will rescan to check for hair line fracture.

txmommy14 oh no! I hope your injuries aren't too bad! Glad baby is safe.
And as a side note you guys really don't want to know how often doctors use Google. The good news is that they're very well-versed in what the reliable sites are for info. It's also one of the easiest ways to pull up scholarly articles. I use it all the time, but usually not in front of my patients
frecklesnbrains, That's why I thought it was so funny. My DH and I were trying not to look at each other and laugh. He always gets mad at me for looking at Google (and I always look at research articles on there, too!) I just thought it was hilarious how casual he was about pulling it up while sitting next to us. In his defense, he DID try to pull up his database first, ha!
My DH was all, "If I were a doctor, I'd be like 'Let me go consult my resources or another doctor to make sure' then I'd go in the hall and google it."

We are currently car shopping for DH...no fun with two kids in tow. But he needs either a new car or sink a bunch of money into his.
We are in the same boat. My 2004 accord's AC decided to break. It will be over 1k to fix. Don't think we wanna sink that much money into a 12 year old car.
