Oh Hai guys, can I intro here? I got a BFP about 3 weeks ago, and when I went in the first time to my OB I got a tentative oct 13 due date, though we figured it might be a little off because I'd only had one long PP cycle after my D14 DS. I had an ultrasound today that showed we weren't a little off... we were WAY off. I'm measuring 6w today, with a due date of 11/12!
So, I think this means I go here now?!
I was an infrequent D14'er on the dump, came over with the exodus but fell off the boat shortly after. I've been hanging out on O14, but it looks like I'll be more in step with you guys in terms of timing. I hail from the Midwest and I also have a beagle bassett mix who is pretty awesome.
peanutmuse TBA. Still waiting for my post-u/s appt. I've been sitting here for an hour and a half, which obviously means I'm hanging out on TCF...
And, update, apparently I've been sitting here for so long because my tech didn't put the results into the computer, so I'm not sure I have a lot of confidence in her.
ETA: they're doing another scan at my appt in 2 weeks to verify dates. But hey, I'm just glad everything looked good, and they could see a heartbeat already!!
Congrats. I am from the Midwest as well. I got my bfp about 2 weeks pregnant, crisis center estimated 3 weeks. I'll have a better idea once I get my nt scan done.

Unless you ovulated on CD7 and had a positive at 7dpo, this is impossible. That being said, if they meant 2 weeks since ovulation, that would absolutely make sense.
This next part is not directed at you, blondie. It is a general statement.
I am not trying to be snarky here, but it is common for women to misunderstand pregnancy dating. I think that's what some of us are trying to gently say here. The likelihood of getting a BFP on 2/27 and only being 6 weeks pregnant on the day that the OP posted this thread are very, very slim. (ETA: Not impossible, just extremely rare.) The likelihood of getting a BFP on 2/27 and being 7 weeks (or more) pregnant is much higher. Later on, there is a greater normal variation in sizes and it's much harder to date a pregnancy. That's why they do it so early. The day to day changes at this point are HUGE, and give a very good indication of viability and dating.
irish14 , I would very strongly encourage you to ask for a follow up ultrasound this week to check for growth. If there was not a heartbeat yet, there almost always will be one by 7 weeks. I don't mean to scare you, but with the vast discrepancy of dates you have here, it is not unreasonable to ask for due diligence in helping to date this pregnancy and assess viability.

Yeah, I asked about this whole thing and the NP I saw was basically, well, it's unlikely but possible. She said they would have a radiologist look at my images to confirm/see if they could add anything.
They did find a heartbeat, though, so that was good news. I've just got this nagging thought in the back of my head where I'm hoping I'm not measuring small/behind or something. They did betas after I tested positive and I was doubling about every 48 hours, so that's reassuring too. They're redoing my scan at my appt in about 2 weeks. I know it probably won't be as accurate at that point, but I'm fine with it since I've had good indicators for viability so far.
I also had BFNs right around when a BFP would have made sense on a normal cycle length, so at least I know I wasn't pregnant enough at that point to turn a stick. I suspect I O'd late (even if I was cycling regularly, this would be very normal for me, I have long and irregular cycles).
+1 to lots of people misunderstanding dating. Getting a BFP at 3 weeks would mean 7 DPO which is REALLY early. Even with the super sensitive pee sticks, which wouldn't pick it up that far ahead.
ETA sorry for the novel, everyone... Stop typing, Irish, stop typing. Lol
@danib I got my BFP at 3 weeks, too. I think I ovulated CD 12, and got my BFP at 10dpo. My lmp was 2/10, and I got my BFP 3/2.
Yes but her 3 weeks is based off Ultrasound not LMP, which means 7DPO.
Yeah, I guess I wasn't really thinking about that. Reading is hard for me apparently.
Even though I always ovulate early, they've never changed my due date based on an ultrasound even if baby is measuring a couple of days off. (Thats not to say they couldnt this time) According to my LMP, DS was born 2 days early, but he was right on time based on my ovulation date. I know due dates are just estimations anyway, but I just thought that was interesting.
FWIW, I got my first BFP on 8 dpo. And I know that 100% as I was monitored, medicated, and used a trigger shot and tested it out. So unlikely but not unheard of to test positive at 3ish weeks.
And I concur - the heartbeat is a very good sign! FX baby is growing on track at your next scan!
