How long before calling the doc?

TMI ahead.

Thursday I felt awful, but Friday I felt much better. This morning I woke up incredibly nauseous and I've had no less than 6 bowel movements since waking up. I haven't thrown up, but I wish I could. Ive napped 4+ hours through the day. I have gotten a little bit of water in, but I can't eat at all.

I'm miserable and of course the OB is closed. There is a nurse line for "emergencies" and I just don't know where that line is in this situation.

I'm almost 29 weeks, and baby's movement has been fine.

Oh, I'm so sorry! That sounds miserable! Hydration is the main potential problem here. Don't worry about eating much - you'll do okay without much food for a few days. Just try to drink as much as you can, preferably something with electrolytes in it, like Gatorade. Watch how much you're peeing. If you stop peeing as much, or it gets very dark, or if you feel lightheaded then that's a sign you're getting dehydrated and should probably go be seen. Or if you start vomiting up liquids you should call. Glad the movement is good - that's reassuring.

Hope you feel better soon! Everything freckles said. Take small sips often if its bothering you to drink or try popsicles or ice chips. Do you have a fever? If you do I would call.

Also, if it would make you feel better or ease your mind, call the nurses. Its always better to be safe than sorry. Even though they likely can't do anything, sometimes talking to them will help you feel better by easing your worries.

Definitely call, this counts. I think any time you are pregnant and feeling genuinely miserable like that you are justified in wanting an expert to directly tell you what to do. Particularly when a fever is involved. It'll put your mind at ease, if nothing else.
I'm sorry you feel so miserable, that does not sound fun. I hope some hydration helps and you get a good night's sleep.

I'd call-but I'm all for peace of mind. Maybe wait and see how you feel in the morning and then call. Have you had an appointment recently? I got my TDAP on Thursday and was sick/had a fever all day yesterday-I could barely get out of bed. I'm sure you'd know if that was causing it, though. I hope you feel better very soon, so sorry!

No tdap. I was planning on doing that next week.

I called. They said if I was keeping some water down, that's okay. She also said the fever could be bc minor dehydration. As long as I was positive my stomach cramps weren't contractions she wants me to stay at home.

I had those symptoms last week. For me they lasted a little over 24 hours. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh, and I told the OB that I was planning on getting tdap this week and she told me to wait another week.

I can see why they would want you to wait. Wouldn't want to double up on unpleasant symptoms. That is a pain, though.

Thanks y'all. I'm feeling 75% better today. I actually ate two tortillas and felt hunger -- so that's major improvement.
