Sorry, this is a weird question. How were you diagnosed?
I've often wondered if I have endo - I have a lot of the symptoms, and a family history.
I have my annual ob appointment today, and I kinda want to ask about it, but it feels weird to just blurt out "I have signs of endo." (I'm very much not a hypochondriac, so I'm not used to thinking I have something). The thing is, there's nothing new, I've suspected it for years, but never did anything about it.
I'd love to hear how your diagnosis came about and/or questions to ask.

Mine wasn't found until I saw an RE. I did mention it to my gyno years ago, back in 2009. I have a family history of it, plus my mom had a complete hysterectomy at 36, so I was concerned about my reproductive health well before I even met my H. My gyno ordered a transvaginal u/s that turned up nothing. Fast forward to 2014. H and I saw an RE, I mentioned my family history, and he recommended considering a laparoscopy because going in there is the only way to confirm any suspicions. Well, needless to say I was pissed at my gyno for ignoring my concerns all these years. I had a lap in December mainly to remove a large cyst, but turns out I also had mild endo, a fibroid, and a polyp, all of which were removed.
TL;DR: Bring up your concerns. Be an advocate for yourself. If you've already got an appointment, that's the time to bring up anything you're worried about.
Endo can only be diagnosed by surgery. You can guess, assume, and be probable, but a firm diagnosis comes from looking inside.
I only learned this when I saw an RE and was absolutely incensed that my gyno only ordered an ultrasound back in 2009. And I've gone to her multiple times since then with endo symptoms, and she NEVER listened to me. Needless to say, I plan on finding a new doc.
They found mild endo when I went in for a D&C. I asked a lot of questions after they found it because I was worried about it affecting my fertility. I would definitely ask your doctor because it is your right and you are paying them to give you answers. I would bring a list of questions. It always helps me to write things down.

My diagnosis of endo was confirmed during my lap in August. I had been having horrible pelvic pain after I ovulated and it continued until a few days after my period. There are people who also have endo and don't have any symptoms. Endo is diagnosed through a lap so they can see what is going on.

I had some Endo symptoms, mostly pelvic pain and GI issues after ovulation. My RE and I decided to do a lap after my HSG results came back. My RE found some Endo during the lap.
