Would anyone like to be tagged in this weekly check in??
Long term goal: Weekly goal:
Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges? Did you exercise? Did you eat healthfully? Weight or inches lost? Any non-scale victories? I will continue... I will stop...
Long term goal: Lose 15 lb. Weekly goal: Go to mommy & me yoga and take 2 long walks
Did you hit your goals? I don't know yet.
Were there any challenges? Not sure yet.
Did you exercise? Not returning to exercise until this week (3 weeks), and even now just walking and doing yoga. I won't return to swimming and cardio class until about 6 weeks pp.
Did you eat healthfully? Yes, mostly. I'm not worrying about calories so much as nutrients right now, since I'm building my milk supply and I'm still recovering - I'm only 3 weeks pp.
Weight or inches lost? So far I've lost 25 of the 30 lb I gained while pregnant, but I started this pregnancy 5-10 lb over my normal weight, so ideally I'd like to lose 10-15 lb, not just the 5 I need to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I also know I've lost some muscle mass during and after pregnancy as well, so I may see a plateau or weight increase when I really get back into working out. I need to focus on not letting that frustrate me.
Any non-scale victories? Not yet.
I will continue... nothing yet.
I will stop... nothing yet.
QOTW: What are you wearing? RACY QUESTION! Ummm, I'm doing some work on my computer while the baby naps, so... a t-shirt and pj shorts.
Long term goal: eat healthy, lose 5-6 pounds Weekly goal: go on walks, eat healthy
Did you hit your goals? For the most part yes. I am doing PT for SI joint pain and it's been working well so I'm able to go on walks now. Were there any challenges? Not really. Now that PT is working I'm feeling better. Did you exercise? Just walking Did you eat healthfully? Mostly. Weight or inches lost? I've lost 18 out of the 20 pounds I gained. I'd like to lose 5-6 and I'll be at my ideal weight. I'm sure it will get easier when I can run again. Any non-scale victories? My SI joint pain is almost healed. I will continue...going on walks. I will stop...just snacking and will eat more regular meals.
QOTW: What are you wearing? Long sleeve t shirt and pajama pants
Long term goal: loose 15 lbs Weekly goal: drink more water; exercise at least 3 days; eat healthier
Did you hit your goals? Were there any challenges? Sleep has been a challenge for me, which makes it harder to get in any exercise or to eat healthy - I've been just grabbing whatever is easy to munch on instead of preparing healthy foods. Did you exercise? No. Did you eat healthfully? Sometimes - I need to do better with this. Weight or inches lost? So far I lost all my pregnancy weight, but I was overweight to start, so I hope to loose 15. Any non-scale victories? I can fit into my pre-pregnancy pants! I will continue... I will stop... making poor food choices
QOTW: What are you wearing? Nursing tank under a tshirt and pajama pants.
Somehow I never did this! Pretty sure I did, probably never hit send.
Looks like we're not all quite at the getting healthy point just yet...
Long term goal: get back into work clothes after maternity leave Weekly goal: stop motn snacking
Did you hit your goals? No Were there any challenges? I feel like I am managing things better but so sleepy so I get lazy. Did you exercise? Going for walks almost daily, as weather allows, but at least a short one waiting for DD1 at bus stop. Did you eat healthfully? When I'm good I'm good but when I'm bad... I need to work on it Weight or inches lost? Any non-scale victories? Put my rings back on! I will continue.. work on drinking enough water I will stop... snacking in the MOTN. Damm girl scout cookies.
QOTW: What are you wearing? I live in PJS or workout pants and nursing tank. Scared to wear real clothes. Put on maternity leggings and a sweatshirt to watch DD1 do gymnastics.
When I saw this bumped I legit thought it was Monday until I read the comment. Lol
I am finally ready for a goal though. My WL has stabilized about 5 lbs up from pre-pregnancy which is about 10 lbs from where I really want to be long term. I am not ready to jump all in yet but my first goal is going to be to cut back on the sugary treats, I have been a total Cookie Monster (and candy) since LO was birth. I am also allowed to start light abdominal exercises today (not 100% sure what that means) so I want to do that and more walking. I actually don't think my tummy looks that bad, I mean it's not great but it's not awful and seeing it compared to our NB photos which were at 10 days PP it's so so different. Even my face looks thinner from then.

I need to jump on this. I have 45 lbs I want to lose. I was a good 30 lbs up from where I should have been when I got pregnant after being on steroids and other meds last spring, so I have a lot of work to do.

arbe - yes. It's what helped me get rid of 15 lbs I had hanging on and get back to a weight I last saw in college. I've always done private challenges, but they are very motivating and you lose it properly.

Things with me aren't great. My sleep schedule is all screwed up and I just have no motivation to do anything. My car needed to get inspected by the end of the month and I just didn't feel like doing it. Hopefully I'll get there next week. And of course my eating habits have been awful due to my lack of motivation. I just want to eat sweets all day long. And it's so much easier to grab candy than to prepare anything healthy. Argh. Maybe next week will be better.
OK I signed up for DietBet. Anyone else want to join... could use an accountability partner. Bet on yourself to lose at least 4% in a month and win. diet.bt/iAfdtB

I'm tempted. I'm in one that just started yesterday. That pot is huge.
