I have a handful of clothes left over from last time but was in a completely different season (DS born in May) so I'm in need of some more clothes to get me through the summer. Where are people's favorite places for maternity clothes and your favorite pieces for summer that don't feel or look like a tent?
I liked Motherhood Maternity for jeans last time around and they still fit but the pair of skinny jeans I got from them give me a horrible saggy butt and fall down constantly. Anyone have a good recommendation for a pair of stretchy skinny jeans?
Right now I'm wearing last pregnancy's maternity pants (I got most of them at Kohls and Destination Maternity). Which has worked out nicely. I recently found some cute maternity shorts at Target. I'm buying stretchy long skirts and sun dresses for summer. Old Navy has really cute maternity clothes too.

I did all of the above. Maternity pants are hit and miss. I bet those saggy butt ones will work well in 3rd tri when weight is distributed differently. I think Old Navy even has 2nd tri specific sizing.
I second Gap and Old Navy, I know Stitch Fix started doing maternity, but I'm just too cheap to pay those prices for maternity clothes. However, I do love Stitch Fix for my non maternity, so I'm sure their stuff is cute.

Oy.. I just spent a small fortune on random summery shirts and jeans between h&m and old navy... (thanks for the heads up on a great sale!). I'll return whatever doesn't work to the stores but hopefully at least one of the pairs of pants works!!
My DS was born in May also and at the end I pretty much lived in dresses from Target, both maternity and regular. They were cheap enough that I didn't care if my belly stretched them out. I was so damn hot all the time that I couldn't wear much more than a dress, but I also live in SE Texas...
Pink Blush is great too for inexpensive clothes. I'm too tall for their pants and dresses, but their tops were fine.

Gap Maternity PSA!!!
I stopped by Gap at the mall near my drs office today and apparently they're getting rid of maternity in store and going to online only. I forgot to ask if it was just that store or all stores, but it sounded like all stores and everything in store was 60% off!!!
I got a maxi skirt, 2 pairs of work pants (dress pants), and 2 tank tops for $20.
This sounds snobby, but I hit up thrift stores/Goodwill in wealthy areas. I've found nearly my entire maternity wardrobe of high quality, gently used stuff (some stuff with the tags still on!)from these stores. I'm making a bitchy assumption here, but I think the donors in these areas prefer to just give their stuff away rather than try to "make a buck" off them through something like Craigslist or a garage sale. Maybe they like the tax credit as well.

I should not have read this. I just bought more stuff at the thrift store that I don't necessarily need. It's just fun to shop for maternity stuff!
I got my H&M order today and am so happy! I love the skinny jeans I got (even if they do give me a little bit of muffin top - it hides well under long maternity shirts and I'm happy to know my pants will actually stay up!).
So I bought 90% of my maternity clothes from Pink Blush last time and most of it is shit. The sizes were all wonky. I went from size small to large depending on the shirt. They also don't hold up well almost all of them got those little pilly balls all over them, threads were coming loose, etc... One sweater was even sent to me with the sleeve sewn shut... It's just my opinion, based off of about 25 tops, but I wouldn't waste my money if I were you!
If you have a Francesca's, not a maternity store, but a lot of their tops are flowy and super comfy and can be worn as maternity tops and they aren't that expensive. They can also double as nursing tops because you can stick the baby underneath the shirt and never need a nursing cover.
Clearly I'm team real clothes over maternity clothes. I just really hate the bunched up sides of mat shirts and dresses.
